To date I still haven’t been successful getting any help from Penske regarding this claim and there’s no number that I can reach. I have tried at least 10 numbers to reach Penske Customer Service. I even tried to chat that is bogus too.
Honesty supersedes U-Haul by a mile!
We rented a truck from U-Haul in West Allis, WI and left sunglasses after we locked and dropped off the keys after hours. Went came back and tried to pick them u the next day; the manager and two workers denied ever seeing them. You can tell the look that all of them were lying.
Rented trucks twice from Penske and experiences have been great!! In a few weeks, we will renting it again. No issues with them whatsoever. I also call 2-3 days in advance to make sure the truck is available.

They Don’t Have the Truck You Reserve
Reserved a truck for same day pickup, they don’t have it. Why allow you to make same day reservations when you don’t have the truck? No idea. Do yourself a favor, get one from Home Depot or U-Haul, at least they know what kind of inventory they have.
Corporate reservation
We needed a high top to move a couch and 3 dogs 1 way from Tennessee to Texas. A box van wouldn’t suffice due to the dogs. I booked the van 2 months earlier through corporate, not the local guys in Knoxville. I called about a week before the pick up date and was assured that everything was good and the van would be there a day beforehand. Our party flew up from Texas to make the move. While she was on her way, Penske called and said the van wasn’t available but they could upgrade to a 16 foot van. (I couldn’t use that because of the dogs). As a last resort, we had to book a local u haul rental from u haul. She made the move. we had to fly to Texas and bring the van back. Due to this whole nightmare, we were out 500$ for a flight, fuel to return the van to TN and lost time from work. Local Penske’s response: Sorry, corporate doesn’t communicate well with local agencies. Moral of the story, if you book from corporate, verify locally. I won’t because I’ll NEVER call Penske again!
