No call back about my missing items or any updates.
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Hertz. I accidentally left my black Martin jacket, along with several hoodies, in the trunk of my rental vehicle. The Martin jacket alone was expensive and is not something that can simply be replaced without a significant cost.
As soon as I realized my belongings were missing, I contacted Hertz and spoke with an employee. I explained exactly what I had left behind and where the items were located. I was told that the employee did not see them at the time but would look into the situation and call me back.
It has now been almost a week, and I have received absolutely no callback, update, or follow-up regarding my belongings. I understand that leaving the items in the vehicle was my responsibility, but being told that someone would follow up with me and then receiving no communication whatsoever is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional.
At this point, I’m left wondering what happened to my belongings after the vehicle was returned. The lack of urgency, communication, and basic customer service throughout this situation has been extremely disappointing. I expected much better from a company like Hertz.
I would strongly recommend that anyone renting from this location thoroughly check their vehicle before leaving because, based on my experience, you should not expect much help or communication afterward if something goes wrong.

A Half Usable App
Hertz app works fine to rent especially in the US. I left for France and rented, wanted a modification on my time and can’t find the rental. No possible combination of info fixes this. Called Hertz told we’re Hertz US. Tried Hertz France, England. No that doesn’t work. Entered numbers and Names. No. Chatted no. Sent email no reply. Not great and being part of the Presidents Circle seemingly not helpful. Any ideas besides returning the car?

BEWARE!
Hertz (at Logan Airport in Boston) charged us for insurance coverage we declined and wouldn’t credit us. We spent months trying! They have lost a good Gold member.
