The bad first: in Bergen airport, it was very difficult to find the store for confirmations since it was located in international gates. For those of us connecting to Oslo first, it was too difficult. The very good news was that Pi VAT has an option to send a photo of the goods after arrival at our home country! Brilliant! This is the first app review that I have ever written… it is that good!

Feels like a scam
Very bad experiences. At first they collected my personal data, passport and then sent unclear reasons why tax claim of purchase will not proceed. Other shops in Japan had no issues with tax free purchases. But if you see this PieVAT - skip it to avoid needlessly wasted time and processing with non responsive chats and so called support.

The handling fee is around 3-4% of the 10% tax refund amount. After deducting the handling fee, you will only receive 6-7% of the tax refund, which is much less than other agencies that can give you 8-9% of the tax refund.
