Don’t buy motor claim insurance
Very disappointing experience with Policybazaar for my motor insurance claim.
I raised my claim on 20 Dec 2025 and submitted all requested documents on time. The final survey report was submitted on 4 Apr 2026, but after that there were repeated delays with no proper updates.
On top of the delay, there was also wrong invoice updation from the team’s side, which created additional confusion and caused further unnecessary follow-up from my end. Even after pointing out the issue and sharing the required details again, it was not handled properly.
Later I was informed that only CKYC generation was pending and had to be updated by another internal team. Despite multiple calls and emails over several months, I kept getting different responses and no clear timeline.
The payment was finally credited today, but the overall experience was extremely stressful and disappointing. A customer should not have to spend months following up for a claim after submitting everything correctly.
My suggestion to others: please think carefully before buying motor insurance through Policybazaar if timely claim support and proper coordination matter to you. Buying a policy is easy, but real support during claim settlement was very poor in my experience.

Pathetic service during claim
I contacted their claim executives multiple times, and every time I was told, “Sir, it will be done” or “We will call you back in a few minutes.” However, whenever I received their callback and answered the phone, the call would disconnect immediately without any response from their side. Despite continuously following up, there has been no proper support.
Initially, I was assured that the process would be completed within 24 hours, but it has already been 5 days and there is still no progress in my claim. I uploaded all the required documents on the very first day of claim initiation, yet they repeatedly keep asking for the same documents again and again whenever I follow up about the status.
Very poor claim handling and extremely frustrating customer experience. Selling policies is easy, but real support is needed during claims and that is where Policybazaar failed badly in my case.

Worst experience - don’t buy
When I got admitted to a hospital that was listed under their cashless network, I expected the process to be smooth. Instead, I was left completely helpless. At a time when my focus should have been on my health and recovery, I was forced to spend hours trying to contact Policybazaar support. Every call was transferred from one team to another, with no one taking responsibility or giving a clear solution. It felt like nobody cared.
Despite being admitted to a cashless network hospital, my claim issue was never resolved, and I had no choice but to arrange and pay the entire hospital bill myself during such a stressful situation. The emotional and financial pressure this created was overwhelming.
Even after discharge, the struggle continued. The reimbursement process was exhausting, confusing, and again there was no meaningful support from Policybazaar. I felt abandoned at the exact moment when I needed help the most.
Health insurance is something people buy for peace of mind during difficult times. Unfortunately, my experience gave me only stress, frustration, and disappointment. I truly regret trusting Policybazaar, and based on what I went through, I cannot recommend their service to anyone.

Rejected Without Reason, Adds Long-Term Disclosure Burden
I had previously purchased a term policy directly from an insurer by fully disclosing my medical history, including past surgeries. The policy was issued after standard underwriting adjustments. Later, after getting married and having a child, I wanted to increase my coverage and decided to try PolicyBazaar based on their marketing claims.
I provided the exact same disclosures. However, my application was rejected without any clear explanation. This creates a long-term issue, as such rejections must be declared in all future insurance applications, not just for term insurance.
What stands out is the lack of transparency. As a user, you are still required to go through the same documentation and underwriting process as applying directly with an insurer, but with no added clarity or value from the intermediary. There is also no visibility into rejection rates or how often applicants with non-standard medical histories are declined.
In practice, the platform seems to work only for straightforward cases with minimal underwriting risk. For others, it introduces unnecessary complications without improving outcomes.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend using PolicyBazaar for term insurance.
