Pathetic app, pathetic support and pathetic service
I am extremely disappointed with my experience using Poparide. My account was permanently blocked after receiving a warning, even though I had already reported that I was having issues receiving app notifications on my phone.
For an app that depends heavily on timely communication between drivers and passengers, reliable notifications are essential. If users are not properly receiving booking requests, messages, or important updates, they should not be permanently penalized without a fair manual review.
After reviewing Poparide’s Terms of Service, I understand that accounts may be restricted in certain situations. However, there should be a clear review process before applying a permanent block, especially when the issue may be related to a technical problem with the app’s notification system.
I have requested that Poparide confirm the specific booking, cancellation, no-show, or complaint that led to the block, whether the issue was verified, whether I was found at fault, and whether my reported notification issue was considered. I believe users deserve transparency and a fair opportunity to explain their side before losing access permanently.
Poparide needs to improve its account monitoring, notification reliability, and appeal process. A permanent block should not be applied without properly considering technical issues and user evidence.

Account Deactivated Permanently
Dear Poparide,
I’ve been using the service now for quite sometime ever since I lost my job and it’s been good so far. The interface and everything is very easy to navigate and accessible.
However my account got banned the first time stating I violated the platform policy, No investigation or whatsoever But after about 2 days or so my account was reactivated.
What happened was that a passenger which I picked up from Yorkdale Mall to Montreal had reported my account saying I accepted “Cash Payment” outside the app, whereas I didn’t. As per my account that day I had a full ride and everyone paid on the app as always.
Just recently my account got suspended again because a lady booked a ride and didn’t show up on time at the pick up location. I waited for over 10mins and tried calling her,
She said “I won’t be travelling again today But rather on Monday.
I had to leave since I had other passengers abroad.
Two days later my account get deactivated permanently..
Now Poparide please tell me how this is my fault or how did I violate the apps Policies?
Also it would be nice if the platform states or provider drivers/users with the exact policy violations.
Please kindly look into my issue and resolve it thank you.

Does not show all the rides. And can't send messages to the driver.
It filters the rides and not showing ALL the rides for that day. And You need to a "request of ride" first before you can message the driver. Can't message the driver for inquiries.
Block my without notifying
Suddenly this app blocked me without notifying. Ready DISAPPOINTED IM USING RIDESHARE.com and kangride app
Awful customer service
No possibility to contact customer support via phone (just a low level AI chat), if the driver doesn’t show up you cannot do anything.
no way to contact driver before booking anymore
great app, cheap rides, but they removed the ability to message drivers before booking. very weird, as you could msg them months ago but now you cant. its giving money hungry company
