Notification trash

Demands that it “requires” notifications access, then offers no options and spams with begging you to use the service non stop. What trash. Service seems ok but this app is a dumpster fire of trash.

40% Price Hike

BEWARE! They just changed their rates per pound by 40% and it’s nowhere to be seen but the fine print. Same service, same laundry pro but 40% more expensive. And dismal customer service. No recovery efforts at all. Bye, Poplin!

Warning For Elderly

Poplin markets its laundry services to seniors, but Family should understand the limits before booking.

We disclosed on the intake form that the clothing contained urine and paid the additional $20 for the senior service services package.

The laundry belonged to my mom, who’s elderly, frail, with dementia.

After accepting the order, Poplin refused to clean the items and stated they do not handle that type of soiled laundry. Drop the laundry back on the door.

Afterward, we were blocked by the person handling the order, which made the situation even more frustrating and left us without a reasonable path to resolve the issue directly. And, our order was deleted on the app.

The “senior services” language is misleading.

Then, they charged us $20 for nothing. Zero services were performed. So, they stole $20 from a woman with dementia, who can’t tell you the time day.

Shame on you.

Families, caring for seniors need to reconsider using this service.

Very unprofessional company who chooses to market to seniors, but that’s a lie.

Just say no…

The Best !!!

My wife absolutely LOVES POPLIN. The laundry comes clean and fresh. Plus it makes her life easier.

Great company

I 100% refer them it’s such a big help as a single mom of 2 and any issues they respond fast

Consistently Inconsistent

First person canceled mid afternoon second person never showed up. No third chance. Will never use again.

Damp laundry + bare minimum support

I was really excited to try Poplin for the first time, but unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing.

I sent out two loads of normal household laundry (jeans, t-shirts, sweatpants, underwear, socks, etc.) and received them back folded while still damp. Not just one or two items—many items throughout both loads were noticeably damp, with some wet enough that they needed to be dried again before they could be worn or put away.

I contacted support immediately and spent approximately 45 minutes working through a bot and then a live agent, who told me someone would follow up by email. I explained that my preferred resolution was to have the laundry redone by a different Laundry Pro and to receive some compensation for the inconvenience.

Instead, I was offered account credits. The problem is that credits don’t solve the issue I paid to avoid. I paid to have clean, dry laundry returned today. Using the credits would require my laundry to be picked up again tomorrow and returned another day later, meaning I’d get usable laundry several days after I originally needed it.

By the time I requested enough credit to at least use same-day service, communication stopped. What had been quick responses suddenly became hours of silence, and the window for same-day service passed.

The entire reason I used Poplin was because I was overwhelmed this week and needed to take laundry off my plate. Instead, I spent time inspecting damp clothes, contacting support, waiting for responses, and now I still have to rewash, redry, and refold everything myself.

One additional concern: the Laundry Pro assigned to my order was listed as “Christina,” but my Ring camera footage shows someone else delivering my laundry — it raises questions about who actually handled my clothing and who had access to my personal information, address, and home.

It’s frustrating because the pickup and delivery process itself went smoothly, and I genuinely wanted this service to work. Unfortunately, between the damp laundry, the lack of a meaningful resolution, and the communication issues, I can’t recommend it based on my experience.

Waste of time

Helpful service

This app and system is so helpful when things get backed up and you need to get back on track. I tried it for the first time, and it was simple and effective. Clothes came back in neat organized folded piles, but unfortunately mine smelled a little like smoke or cigarettes which is very off putting for me. I wonder if there’s another laundry pro around me to try. Other than the odor, would have been 100% perfection!

$38 for Late, Dirty, and Incomplete Laundry

June 2026 order: laundry returned late, wrinkled, and with foundation-stained towels. 7 items missing entirely. Customer service quoted 30–45 day investigations while their own app says 5 days. Chat agents used the wrong name and refused supervisor escalation. BBB complaint filed.

Do Not Use!

Wildly inconsistent. Got other peoples clothes and was missing some of mine. Clothes smell like cigs. The AI customer service rep refuses to give refunds.

I give them my every information they ask me to pay 4$ for my background check I never I have access

For do nothing I think it’s a scam

Missing Laundry for 24hrs - Support Not Concerned

My clothes went missing for 24 hours. Laundry Pro says they were coming at 8am to grab it. Notice at 9am it’s still there, ok fine. 1pm it’s finally gone. Nothing registered in the app. 11pm still nothing but “will be picked up by 8pm”. Message “help” support and they essentially say man that sucks but will reach out to Pro for update. I message laundry pro and no response. Message again in the morning still nothing. Finally 7am (day laundry should be returned by 8pm) Laundry Pro says ‘oh there’s a glitch in the app but I have your laundry’ interesting that it would be around the same time someone would be waking up and see all the messages from the help support telling them to reach out to me. Communication is terrible with laundry pros. Support sucks.

Subcontractors?!

I have been using the service weekly for about 2 months. It is always the same persons name. (Smaller town, so figured we don’t have a lot of launderers.) But every time “Heather” picks up or drops off - it’s a different person. And sometimes there’s notes to me regarding something that will say “heather said only wash and fold, but if you’d like we can stain remove…” so it’s obviously NOT Heather all the time.

AI tells me that’s bc Poplin allows subcontracting. They don’t care if a launder signs up and then subcontracts out to a team of 10.

There’s something irky and scammy about being told a person is working your acct but really it could be anyone that person hires. Why can’t that person get their own account? Why does Poplin disclose this?

I have met a couple of the people when they were dropping off, and they smelled like smoke. Which does make me uncomfortable about my clothing being exposed to that. Does Poplin tell them not to smoke around your clothes? Does your launderer pass that info onto the subcontractors?

I also have a lot of clothes that I have washed dried and hung or just wash and hung to dry naturally. I provide the exact number of hangers needed to do this. On more than one occasion when I received my clothes back there have been unused hangers, which tipped me off that they didn’t actually hang up all the clothes they were supposed to hang up. I’ve also knowingly supplied 2 extra hangers and did not received them back. I was told that if you accidentally supplied more hangers than needed, they would always return the extras. But in this case they kept them.

Outside of that, I’ve only had one shirt that I believe they ruined. It was a white shirt and it came back slightly pink. I think they washed it with my husband‘s red silk shirt. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t have separated red and white before washing.

Still going to keep using until I can find another more reliable service.

You Get Other People’s Laundry

Which means…..they get yours 🤮

I wanted this to work

I wanted to use this for a side gig but the app is all white 😟, i uninstalled and installed and still the same. Hopefully someone can help me.

Fine until it’s not

About a month ago, I put in an order with Poplin. I created a new order in the app, with special instructions about how I wanted my laundry separated when washed. Well, the app didn’t save my instructions. My laundry pro had no idea to follow these instructions, so it wasn’t her fault. I made this very clear when I reached out to Poplin, explained to them that I would need to now rewash all of my laundry at my expense, and now, a month later after a lot of words, they have promised to escalate this and make this right. They’ve done NOTHING of the sort.
So yeah the app works fine until you have special instructions and the app doesn’t save those instructions or pass them on to the person doing your laundry. The included insurance apparently doesn’t apply in the case of THEIR APP messing up my order. Their service will promise to get back to you and make things right and then not email back for a month.
TLDR:
Poplin is great until you need to reach out to them. Zero accountability or follow up communication when there’s an issue with the app.

Stolen clothes

They stole my clothes, customer service is a chat bot that says someone is contacting you by email but nothing gets done

I weighed my laundry at 25lbs they charged me for 40.

It’s in the title, I won’t be using them again.

Edit: Update, I asked them to delete my account and now they won’t delete my account and are holding my personal information hostage illegally.

How can they vet, really?

This has been such an awesome service for me, especially now that I have three small kids! The only gripe I now have is that my laundry has come back smelling very slightly of cigarette smoke two times now. That is two times too many for me. Customer service has been quick to respond and make it right, but I don’t want to keep complaining. It’s such a shame. I’m not sure how an app like this can really vet their pros. It may be they live with someone who smokes or transport the laundry in a car of someone who smokes… idk. It’s so convenient that I’m going to keep using it only with the pros I currently trust… Hopefully those bad experiences were just flukes…
