Read the reviews: they obviously don’t care

Just skimming the most recent reviews tells you all you need to know. The app is so sloooow you think it is locked up. Lots of nice pictures to look at, as long as you don’t actually want to DO anything. Searching is a joke. This iOS app doesn’t work on an iPhone! Trying to deposit is like pulling teeth. They ask you all kinds of details you couldn’t possibly know, about a resort/week you have already deposited multiple times in the past. Good grief. Do they do any user testing at all? Was this written and maintained by first year interns? What company doesn’t allow special characters in their passwords? Why does logging in to the app not accept a new password just set through their password reset process? Are there really NO properties on St. Thomas? I regret renewing our RCI membership. You can’t even search resorts if you don’t deposit a week first! Talk about a way to turn off members! Seems like the best way generate business would be to show what you’ve got! Nope, not RCI!

No updates in THREE YEARS? How irresponsible

It’s just remarkable how consistently bad the reviews are. Nearly 100% bad. So many that say “I’d rate zero stars if I could”. It’s just not functional at all and it’s no surprise as you haven’t updated it in 3 years? (And just 4 updates 3-4 years ago, when it was first released? How can you despise your customers so much that you would spend ZERO resources to improve the customer experience? All while increasing your fees over the same time period!?

Typical RCI application - trash!

I just got an iPad and have found all the apps I’ve installed work pretty well and are designed to take advantage of the tablet’s size. But depend on RCI to have a three year old version that is sized for a phone format. Is it me - am I missing an iPad version in the App Store. Why can’t RCI do anything right when it comes to their apps and website. They’re all terrible but this seems the most inexcusable. Fire whatever contractors/developers you have and start over!!!

How can RCI be considered a world class travel company with an app this terrible?!

Like the other people who have invested time to review this worthless app, RCI should scrap this app and the team responsible for developing and supporting it and start from scratch. The only two ways you can successfully research travel options to make travel decisions for the RCI investment we make is via a phone call (the best option, but RCI continues to reduce headcount thinking their online channels are effective… and they're not) and via a PC. All other options are mostly a waste of time and effort. A zero stars out of 5!

It keeps getting worse

This is the worst app of all the apps I have on my phone. During this week I have not been able to search for anything. It says to select a region below, and the screen is blank. There are so many other things wrong and I don’t have all night. RCI fees go up every few months so surely you can afford to hire a new IT department.
I wrote this review a long time ago but no one answers. RCI is not worth the dues and fees.

Slow to load, slow to return results if any at all, poor search capabilities and generally buggy.

Sadly, my title says it all. This app is Slow to load, slow to return results if at all, poor search capabilities and generally buggy. Searches leave me with a blank no results screen all too frequently. I’d seriously consider scrapping this version and starting from scratch with a different lead developer. As a new member of RCI this app is woefully unimpressive and moreover it’s proven useless in my efforts to find a vacation destination. All I want to do is find availability in the specific City I’m seeking to visit, not entire regions. Cities such as NYC, but you force me to search an entire region. I have since deleted this app freeing up valuable space. Frustratingly, I made the move the website which is only marginally better. I’m forced to offer a single star zero stars was not an option.

Terrible App

Might be the worst app I’ve ever used. Haven’t used it in a few years and it somehow got worse. On my iPad 1/2 of the screen is not used. Froze up numerous times when trying to load the vacation search. Tried multiple times to run a basic search and never got a return. Just a terrible app. If I was allowed to rate it zero stars I would have.

Horrible app

I keep thinking that they’re going to update this app and make it better because it is not user-friendly whatsoever! You have to keep logging in over and over and God forbid if you push the back button, it takes you right back to the very beginning and you have to start your search all over again. As of right now, I can’t even log into the app or change my password or anything and this is been going on since yesterday. I finally deleted it and I’m trying to re-download it to see if that makes a difference. Do something!

Slow as molasses, will not stay logged in, & More!

This is the most frustrating app! Even though you check Remember Me it requires login every time and when you want to switch between apps to check on flights or something else it logs you out!
It doesn’t remember your search and keeps going back to the beginning so you have to redo everything.
It should also allow multi-selection of regions and exchange points.

Horrible App

I have contacted RCI numerous times over the years about how this App boots one off , can’t stay logged in or is totally unresponsive. Every representative blames “user error”. They really need to upgrade this terrible App or take it down and hire more people to handle calls. How can a billion dollar company be so callous about listening to their customers? Doesn’t the low App rating tell them anything, or since they make so much money from raising their fees they just don’t care !

Will not stay logged in

I can forgive a lot of the bugs and slow interface. All I would like to do is log in and see availability and what resorts are there and see ratings. That’s it. I’m not trying to even book anything. When you have to log in everything you click on something, it is an exercise in frustration. The “Stay logged in” check box does nothing. Every other screen it is asking me to log in again. I tried to use the app for all of 3 minutes and had to log on over 10 times. I eventually gave up. I don’t want to have to call in just to ask if there is a resort in XX area but I will and waste your time if this isn’t fixed. It would be quicker to stay on hold than use this app.

Terrible app

This app is terrible. It has made me consider selling my time share. It glitches for days or weeks at a time where the buttons do not work. I find a resort I like, press to select it. I can see that it has registered my touch, but then goes no where. Trying to select unit size does not work. Cannot look up a resort by name or number. Simple searches cannot be done. Then if you finally miraculously get somewhere on the app, it kicks you off in the middle of your booking! I have never ever written a bad review, but after over 10 years I am fed up! I just want to go on a vacation, and not been stressed out by the app I am attempting to book with.

Terrible

I totally agree with previous review, after a year, still same story, on top of that same things happens on their website, terrible service and whole RCI story was a scam, no way for me to move out, I have spend thousands to have this service through GEVC company, both scam company, never trust this vacation clubs or time or what ever share companies. I hoped i was able to see such a review before i made such a mistake 6 years ago.

Slow, user friendly.

It’s difficult to find a place to vacation, using the App. The app is slow and lags. Idk what the solution is but it has to improve some how. It would be nice if we were able to just type in a resort and see what the availability is. Instead we have put in dates first and hope our resorts come up with availability. It Informs me of no availability without telling me what dates are available. Very tedious and time consuming to search for available vacations.

Garbage

I seriously do not think it would be possible to make a more worthless app even on a day or call mom a 12-year-old with programming skills could make something better than this without even understanding the timeshare business. This app tells you all you need to know about the integrity of the timeshare business as anyone who’s a decent person would be embarrassed by this it would make moves to correct it when they saw how absolutely pathetic it was while working

Terrible App

What is wrong with the people responsible for this app? It is always slow to respond, freezes, or takes you back to sign in multiple times during a single use. My internet service is excellent and 300MB speed so I know for a fact that’s not it. I agree with others, this has been an issue for quite a long time. It can’t be for lack of money to fix it as RCI gets plenty of that from all the fees charged for exchanges and multiple other ridiculous “services”. Someone from RCI needs to step up and explain to all members why this can’t be fixed. I am about fed up RCI and ready to move on to a better exchange company.

This app deserves a negative rating

This is by far the worst and most useless app. Cannot search without constantly signing back in. Shameful that RCI cares so little about it’s members that it fails to improve the functionality of this app. Aside from hassles of constantly re-signing in, the searches repeatedly freeze and reset. Have yet to successfully book through this app.

UPDATE THIS APP

I would give this app 0 stars if possible. This has to be the absolute worse app I’ve ever used. With all the other apps out there for traveling this app alone has made me consider selling. I have owned for over 10 years and it seems like not 1 single upgrade has been done to improve the user experience on this app. It is easier to call the 800 # and be on hold.

COME ON!!
1. Face ID is selected but doesn’t work
2. You are required to enter password every time you switch categories
3. The back button exits your search and makes you start over—so frustrating!
4. The app freezes constantly.

I could go in and in but what’s the use… you get the point.

Worst travel app

By far the worst travel app I use. I hate this app but I hate the website on my phone just as much. We love RCI in general but VRBO has such a better app it is so much easier to search and explore vacation destinations. As an executive in the IT world I would strongly encourage RCI to invest in their app, especially in this day and age when everyone is exploring and booking vacations off of apps.

Worst app ever

Hands down the most useless app that I have ever encountered. My six year old could have done a better job at producing better functionality. This pathetic attempt to give the impression that RCI has in any way made it easy or convenient for their members to feel anything other than duped does nothing other than totally exemplify the EXACT reason why time shares have such a bad reputation. Now I’m wondering if I am just another victim.
