I booked ac sleeper from Thiruvarur to Ernakulam in skanda bus. The pickup point time was on 8 45 pm but on 8 pm they informed that there bus got breakdown . Please think Just before 1 hr of journey they informed the issue , i got panicked becasue its late ni8 and i want to Reach ekm the very next morning cause i want go to job. And later they called and told me that they had arranged another bus from thiruvarur to thanjavur and then from thanjavur there will be skanda bus to ekm. And the bus arranged by them was late and we hadn't got any seat in that bus, we travelled on siting in driver cabin and travelled from thiruvarur to thanjavur for that 1 hour while we paid for ac sleeper. Very pathatic situation. And later when we reach thanjavur we came to see that the skanda bus was totally different from the picture the show while booking. An old bus with dirty interior and dirty pilloe and blankets..very bad experience from skanda bus and redbus. And when i tell this to my friends they told that skanda bus is always like this , last moment they will cancel the trips by saying lies like this .

Neet and clean
Terrible service and glitchy app
I booked my trip home. Says the payment error, app glitches out and then I go to buy the ticket and after purchase then the payment error ticket suddenly is taken out of my account. I’ve discussed about a refund for the last 4 days and they keep pinning on me and asking me for screen records of the glitch like I knew before the glitch would happen. I’ve shown the payment come out of two accounts, messaged straight away so obviously I wasn’t trying to buy two tickets in two seperate goes back to back

Cant get help from customer care
Regret booking rail to ket with this app. Payment success and irctc issue so ticket was not booked. Redrail initiated refund but it never reached me. I could not help from chat or call centre as i never got chance to speak to a human. Looks like there is no place to reach them no email address and everywhere i get an automated response that refund initiated. Is there any human behind to look at my issue?

Miss my bus because the stop location was not clear
I arrived 1 hour before the bus arrival and I couldn’t find the exact bus stop. No pedestrian nor official was able to help the find the exact bus location. I miss my bus. Bad experience, I will not use this app again.

No Customer Support! How is that even allowed?
App seemed great at first, but I experienced critical issues with it. I recently had a situation where I need to request a refund for 2 bus tickets due to circumstances out of my reach (how is a bus allowed to leave half hour early??). However, likely due to my USA number, I was not able to get help in the “Help” tab of the app. Their support email also does not even work. After these experiences, I will not be using redbus again unless I get a response from their support team.

Everything required receiving a otc via WhatsApp. I never received the code. I have a USA WhatsApp number. Couldn’t create account or book a trip. I tried getting help but that also required a one time code that never came through.

Poor service
Very poor customer support. They send wrong bus details and after the bus gets missed, nobody properly solves the issue or takes responsibility. Completely disappointing experience with the app.

There is something seriously messed up with their system that appears deliberate.
I booked two tickets from Semporna to Kota Kinabalu, they passed on this booking to the local bus provider but didn’t put on the dates so the local company booked them for the wrong date.
RedBus were completely uncontactable for a refund request.
Their Login system doesn’t work, their chat buddy system doesn’t work, their OTP system doesn’t work.
What on earth is going on?

Worst Travel Experience
Very bad experience with the RedBus app. Honestly one of the worst travel experiences of my life.
The bus boarding location shown in the app was completely confusing. When I clicked directions for the first time in Chennai, it showed a different location and I had no idea which one was correct. I expect the app to guide passengers to the right boarding point properly, especially in an unfamiliar city.
The customer support operators were completely unhelpful. I got stranded at night with no accommodation and no alternate buses available. I asked multiple times what could be done, and the operator was clueless, only saying “we will get back to you in 24 hours.” What exactly am I supposed to do during the night?
Now I have to spend extra money booking a hotel for the night. I had already been roaming around the whole day after checking out of my hotel at 12 PM, so I was already exhausted and tired.
Even the bus operator seemed helpless and had no proper information. Overall a terrible and stressful experience. Very disappointing.

Never sends OTP so can’t login
Find this app very frustrating, the OTP never comes so you can’t login and there is no customer service unless you login!

Unethical service
Poor experience with both the service and the app. My bus (KBS) from Puducherry to Bengaluru was delayed by several hours (3 hours) after being rescheduled and merged without proper notice. Seats were changed to less preferred ones, and there was no option to cancel without penalty despite these changes being made by the operator.
The bus itself was unclean, had cockroaches, and the AC kept malfunctioning throughout the journey. Due to the delay, I had to get down early in Bengaluru and take the metro, yet still reached my event very late.
What’s worse is the redBus app support, the “Contact Us” section didn’t work when I needed it, and I couldn’t even submit a proper low-rating review. It feels like negative feedback is being filtered. When I finally emailed the grievance officer, they were utterly dismissive.
For the price charged, both the operator quality and app support are disappointing. Needs serious improvement.
