Cant open on compatible iOS

I’m on iOS 18.5 and the app immediately crashes everytime after I finish logging in to my university email for the first time. Reinstalling the app and logging in again solicits the same error. I’m on stable Wi-Fi when testing. When the app crashes, the app window also disappears from the App Switcher.

Serviceable

It does its function with no frills. Clearer labeling would be nice; I thought shuttle call was an ambulance call since its symbol is a green cross

Good app, big flaw

Please get the emergency button away from the area you need to swipe to close the app

Garbage

Absolute garbage of an app that doesn’t do anything that it’s supposed to do. Failing to check in at crucial moments, whether it’s manual or automated.

Buggy

The app will spontaneously pop up for absolutely no reason and come into the foreground. The red emergency button can then be accidentally pressed. This has happened many times already over the years on this new iphone 17 pro and on my previous iPhone 13 mini, but most times i was able to cancel it in time. But it just happened to me now whilst i was asleep at 1:45am, and i didn’t know. Security called me back but i was asleep and phone was on silent, so it didn’t ring. Thankfully I’m a light sleeper so i realised it and called security back immediately to let them know I’m ok!!

I am unable to tolerate this app anymore and have just deleted it. I’d probably feel a little less safe every now and again, but good riddance!!

Response from developer

Thank you for reaching out, and we are very sorry for the stress and late-night disruption this caused both you and your security team. As an actual alert was received by security, we want to audit your specific account logs immediately to identify the exact alert type and what triggered it. To help us investigate this for you, please contact our technical engineering team directly at support@criticalarc.com with your account details. We take all safety events seriously and want to help you resolve this so you can feel completely secure using the app again

The app also allows users to share their status, receive important notifications, and access safety tips relevant to their location.

How do I sign up for SafeZone?
