The good thing about SoFi is that they offer many options for investing, crypto, all in one place. Their rates also good for checking and savings. The problem comes when you need customer service, in app chat, then is a big headache. Under qualified customer service, glitches in app when you try to reach support, error messages, inability to upload anything, messages of “suspicious activities” when you pay the same merchant for years which creates problems with companies you do business with because they reject a charge, dispute resolution issues, no accountability for their errors, i have never ever received pay two days earlier with direct deposit. Honestly, pretty disappointing.

Over Hyped
This is definitely just another overhyped mobile banking app. It’s literally chime with a different look. They slow ash with everything even notifications come in late after transactions
Modern banking & investment app without compromises
Appreciate how things just work, there’s actually dark mode, TOTP support. Wish the Zelle UI matched the rest of the app, but that’s quite a minor thing as it still works without issue.
Scammers
No help no options typical finance company here to lie cheat an steal all they can they could carless about your credit score. Fake fake fake associates never call the workers are worst then robots. Fake copy and paste reply zero help empty offer
Cheap
They will not send me my tax documents. Aren’t you legally required to send tax documents in the mail? Using the chat with customer service and it crashed every couple text exchanges. It took forever and once it crashed for the fourth time I gave up. When you ask for MFA verification and a user selects remember the device…maybe sofi should remember the device.

They let me invest in Puerto Rico but not open a bank account; basically, they can take my money but not help me keep it safe. They're thieves.
Can’t link my WF account to my checking account
It is frustrating that I can’t sync my Wells Fargo account to my checking/savings but it syncs perfectly fine with my SoFi investment account. My main reason for opening this account is to build my savings and utilize the vaults but I want to be able to transfer funds from my main account where I deposit a majority of my money

Worst trading platform of all time
DO NOT USE. Worst broker of all time, after using every broker. This is hands down the worst one
App & 2FA Issues
I changed my phone number in October. I could not update online or the app so I called in. They changed my number, but the app still reflects my old number. Now every time I log in, it’s as if I’m diving into SoFi for the very first time. It won’t remember my passkey (asked to set up each time), FaceID (asked to set up each time), 2FA asked to set up each time. I’ve called far too many times AND emailed them a screen recording of what happens - to which they state in “normal” “operating as intended”.

Fake Marketing
Hey , they initially offered 4.3 plus interest rate which lasted about only a month and after that for 1.5 years it’s just 3.1 . That high yield interest rate promises are completely fake . And they have offered me free international money transfer feature , which keeps failing on repeat and the customer service agent chatted for 40 min and he didn’t understand basic English . I saw Reddit and everyone kept saying transferring money out is a nightmare with SOFI. AVOID THIS BANK

Customer service is the worst
Initially, when I wanted to get this app, I was excited and I thought that you know this app was good because all the reviews that I heard outside of this, but it’s been two weeks since I signed up for direct deposit. I haven’t received a notification or nothing you cannot I mean, you cannot talk to a human so the first chance I get I will be deleting this account and I advise you please do not get this account from them

No Free SoFi Plus
I’ve used SoFi since 2023 for the benefits of the SoFi Plus program since it’s free with direct deposit. It is no longer free and it is required to pay a subscription for the benefits. If you can hold my money and invest it like any other bank… I am not giving you any more of my money nonetheless, money I won’t get back. Change it back or keep this one stat.

Used to be great
I used Sofi as my only bank for multiple years. They have gone seriously downhill. Everything is subscription based and APY does not keep up with competitors anymore. Features are being steadily removed. Their spend limit is incredibly low and caused me a massive headache trying to purchase a car. Customer service is useless. They’re even advertising “Trump accounts” which is extremely disappointing as well. (I understand it’s a federal program—there is no reason to excitedly namedrop that orange piece of trash.)
I finally switched banks earlier this year to Capital One and am much happier. All I have left to move is my investing account. Garbage company.

Can’t even have simple activation , had to input info 3 Times and then said my address is incorrect! 0 stars
Completely unreliable investment numbers and useless customer support
Do not use SoFi for investing. The numbers and performance tracking in the Invest section are completely inaccurate—my portfolio balances, daily gains/losses, and cost bases are constantly showing incorrect data. I reached out to customer support to report this major glitch, and they did absolutely nothing about it. No fix, no follow-up, and no accountability. How am I supposed to trust an app with my money when it can't even display basic financial numbers correctly? Moving my portfolio elsewhere immediately.

Lifesaver
I was able to get a loan really easy, paid to me in 2 days to consolidate my debt into a 3 year installment loan that’s cheaper than my overall credit card debt. I feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you Sofi. Truly. 🙏
Terrible company
They closed my account without giving a reason, let alone a valid one. Then a “supervisor” hung up on me. Don’t waste your time.
App is worthless
App wont let me log into my account nor will the mobile website. Also i cant change my mailing address to a PO Box. I cant receive mail where im at, so ill be closing my account as soon as i can figure out how to log into
