Personal Loan Experience
It has been two months since starting a personal loan. This loan intended to help pay bills and basic needs. Understand not the best financial strategy but limited on options in transitioning back to continue my education and being let go by my previous employer. I met all demands and information needed to be approved.
Such as current employment. As is I had to ask my new employers to submit employment papers. I now have three jobs and donate plasma for gas or small bills money.
However through the process Sofi had failed to update me on any progress. If a document was incorrect. If employer didn’t fill out the verification correctly.
Had to contact customer support many of times to get updates or if anything is wrong. They are probably sick of me by now but I thank them for helping me and being patient.
Also was required to submit bank verification. All though I use my current bank account in sofi to submit payments or buy stocks or make payments.
Now I am facing potentially have my basic needs like water and gas shut off because my three jobs can not help with the all the payments nor have received help from Sofi.
I do not know if this is unfair practice on Sofi behalf or what is going on. I hope this gets resolved soon before I have take any actions or lose essential needs. I have felt embarrassed by asking both employers and banking for verification. I feel the embarrassment of my significant other watching me struggled and barely making it by.

The best banking app
I used Chime for a while but had lots of issues. After Chime kept the balance from one of my accounts for several months, I learned they are a “fintech,” not a bank, so I had limited recourse. SoFi is different because SoFi has an FDIC Charter. I also couldn’t write checks from Chime. I eventually got my money back but still stayed with SoFi because it has lots more options, better support including dramatically better customer service and is a much more stable business. I’m glad I switched to SoFi!

5 year customer and zero problems.
I am using SOFI branded credit card, SOFI money account and SOFI invest and crypto. Previously had used 3 very well know companies for each of these services (except crypto) for about 30 years. Very happy I consolidated these 3 under SOFI and added crypto. App is excellent and will only get better over time.

Poor service but ok banking
I tried to address a problem where SoFi said they have instant bank transfer from a SoFi savings to credit card but it is not true. So beware if you need the service. I also tried to address it with their help department and they disconnected the chat. Then I reconnected and it said one minute wait. Over ten minutes later I tried to contact them again with no luck. Good luck trying to get them to solve the problem of them advertising one thing and not delivering it. My credit card is still being rejected even after several hours of having an “instant” payment made. Buyer beware.

Horrible Crypto Notifications
I got this app for banking, not for spammy notifications about Crypto. Was finally able to turn them off finally, but enabling these by default is a horrible user experience.
Notification Spam
I get multiple crypto notification spams even though I've disabled it. Very annoying.
Processing times are way too long
Every time i try to either deposit, transfer, or do anything cash related the turn around time is way too long and their estimated wait times are always wrong, be ware.
STOP MESSING WITH STUFF
ugh I need to change banks at this point because they are slowly removing features and changing the entire layout and process to deposit checks. What used to be a streamline process now makes you press 8 different buttons and slide a slider that barely works when there was literally NOTHING wrong with it before. Stop messing with stuff!!! It was FINE omg. What used to be a helpful budgeting platform is also absolutely useless with the recent changes to the relay system. I miss what this bank/app was when I joined years ago.

Spam in my bank app!
Every time I open my Sofi bank app, I get a popup window with spam that covers the entire screen and I have to click X. I wanted a bank, not an advertising app. The app is also generally not that good, which is pretty telling for a “modern” “tech” bank.
App says “oops” and I can’t transfer money and I should get over it.
Spilled milk graphic suggests not crying over spilled milk. But I need to move money today. Your tech is down. Awful experience.

Complicated
By far one of most complicated apps I have ever tried to use, I don’t want the 2 factor authentication, all I want to do is log into it and use it. It’s damn near asking me for my blood type
Glitchy & slow lately
When I lock my card it takes forever to unlock so I can use Apple Pay. It's been numerous times I had emergency & could not use my card because it wouldn't unlock
They’ll close your account without warning.
First off 3 days for a whole check to be cashed? And then no warning when closing bank accounts? Not a good bank at all. Users beware!
Notifications don’t work
Text and push notifications don’t work but app and company is great
Not worth it.
Terrible customer service, Very slow. “Instant transfer” is not a thing. They advertise that but it’s never instant. Wait days for funds.
The worst banking app ever used
I downloaded this app to use for investing, once I added some money, I could never withdraw it. I contacted customer service a few times via chat, the bot says now connecting you to a live agent, and live agent never comes. I transferred money to my external account maybe 10 times and it was all rejected. I tried transferring the account to my other brokerage account, they reject it as well. Don’t use this banking at all, they captive your money!!!
