This app is legit!
I was a little hesitant to use the app after reading some mixed reviews, but I’m glad I gave it a chance. I was approved instantly, setting up the resident portal was easy, and they paid my rent on time.
I submitted my first payment on July 30, and today (August 4) I received confirmation that my rent was paid in full. My next payment is due on the 14th, and I like that you can manually adjust your due date by a few days if needed.
One tip: set up your payment a couple of days early so there’s enough time for it to process before your rent is due (the 5th for most people). So far, I’ve had a great experience and would definitely recommend it.

Completely False Advertisement
They advertise like it’s easy to use. They don’t tell you that you have to check eligibility. What sense does that make? It’s not a credit check. You aren’t just automatically eligible like they advertise.

The worst app. The 1st 3 months I tried using the service, would act like it was paying then decline. It took until the update to the new dashboard to say Discover isn’t accepted. So I set up Privacy.com to use a Mastercard and it still won’t work, because Privacy.com says it “unauthorized” even though it did an initial authorization to Split Pay when I set it up.
So frustrating when something that should be simple won’t work.

Dumbest app ever
What’s the point of the app if you can never get approved for it. You don’t do a credit check but yet you can’t get approved for the app. Worthless when you’re in a tight position.

I usually don’t leave reviews but really love this app. I have a big mortgage payment and splitting the payments up like this really helps my cash flow. It was a smooth and easy process. Customer support is excellent!

Trash app. I have a 769 credit score with $85,000 salary and was denied. They claim they don’t pull credit & they have to approve you based on how much money you make which is ABSOLUTELY STUPID AF!!! Somebody that needs to split their rent is obviously having financial struggles, why would someone have to “”qualify”” to use this???

First time using split pay.
My rent was paid so that’s good, helpful for a single income household with 3 kids and a wife. It was a little bit of a process though. You have to pay ahead of the 1st because it takes 3-5 days to process.
When I used flex you could pay instantly. Not sure why you can’t do that here.
Also when I did try to pay the first couple times the bot was telling me I didn’t have a balance due so I was kind of confused and stressed. That being said the ACTUAL HUMAN agents were quick to respond and helpful. Hopefully things go more smoothly going forward.

Even though the fees the option to split is helpful to the livelihood of working families
No longer an option to turn off credit reporting
I have been using split pay for a few months now with no issue. I love using them because it takes a load off of me from. I absolutely loved the option of no credit reporting because I do not need to credit history. Today I received a notification about a credit score change. I logged in and noticed that my credit score decreased 42 points because they reported this to my credit. I have never been late. No all of a sudden they removed the option to turn off credit reporting. I will no longer be using this app moving forward.

Was not approved to cover my $582.39 car payment and advises to check back in another 30 days. What a joke. I have a stable continuous income that’s more than the payment with a job I’ve been with for three years now. I was approved with flex for my rent and even paid it off early in advance and that’s way more than my car note amount. Now I have to call my car note company and make a promise to pay in full instead. I was relying on this app due to being out of work a couple of days on medical leave. How inconvenient. The only thing about flex is you can only use it for either your rent or car payment.

A fundamental need in today’s society
As someone who has been in the buy now, pay later scene for a while I have to say that split pay is something that is long overdue. We have needed a system that allows us to pay our mortgage, pay our car note, pay the big bills in a way that doesn’t drop the average struggling family into the negative for a long time. I have had the opportunity to use split pay for both my rent as well as my car note. And I am happy to say that I’ve not had any trouble. If you’re struggling, or you just need to use your money a bit more wisely, then definitely download this app.

I could not believe that this actually worked. For the first time ever I found myself short on rent and I was stressing! Rent was due on the 1st and last fees started on the 6th and the day I found this app was the 5th!! It was a miracle. I was able to pay my rent on time with no late fees! Will be letting my friends know about this app. I came across the ad on Instagram and I thought it was too good to be true and figured what the heck, and it proved me wrong! I’m so beyond happy. Thank you Split Pay! ♥️
