Get it together square!!
Honestly, I used to rave about square appointments to all of my fellow hairstylist. A couple months ago I was having issues with my appointment timing and my opening hours being off by one hour beyond November 1. I have contacted Square multiple times in the past couple months and they keep saying it’s going to be fixed. And it’s a time zone issue (Vancouver BC). I keep updating everything and waiting for the problem to be solved and it has not. It is extremely affecting my business in the sense that my clients are relying on their appointment times being correct otherwise I lose a lot of business. I’m running out of patience and I might look into switching. If anyone else has this problem, please contact me and let me know if you’ve successfully switched to another appointment and POS program.

Dark Mode
I have been waiting for the dark mode to be working for quite some time now. Allegedly there was a fix to make that setting active. I have dark mode on my phone and this is the one app that does not reflect, even with the claim that they offer that option.
Service is fine otherwise but it makes it very difficult for myself and my customers to view things visually.

They are not including Puerto Rico
I’m trying to verify my account to make my payments, but is an issue that I can’t select PR as a country and gets an error. I’m a Pet Groomer and this apps works good with everything, but for the payments is getting some problems
Great App
I've been using square for years and for the most part, it runs smooth. I've had a few hiccups but were solved by calling customer service and they are always nice and professional and solve every issue. So for now, I'm sticking with square!
Features
I enjoy using this app, very reliable & the free features you’re able to use is definitely worth using. Some of the paid features should be included in the free package but overall it’s nice to use. Better than some other platforms.

I’m new to self employment and running my own schedule as well as booking the jobs can be challenging. Square appointments has definitely been a huge help to when scheduling, keeping track of appts, and even collecting payment. Will probably upgrade to their plus option eventually! Thank you square

can’t respond to your own clients
Imagine an app where your own clients/new clients initiated contact to you through its own message system asking a question & you can’t answer the question because the app says i need consent from the customer to answer their question THEY reached out about. WELCOME TO SQUARE! The error prompts you to contact support if it’s not marketing and support will tell you that is the law!! no way around it but these geniuses haven’t heard of implied consent or know I DONT NEED CONSENT TO ANSWER A CLIENTS QUESTIONS. DONT USE SQUARE

Dark Mode unacceptable
Recent update matching device system theme automatically is unacceptable. I want my phone in dark mode not your app. Dark mode does not distinguish colors of imported calendars between pending appointment making it difficult to know what is pending. There is no reason for your app not to have a setting feature to select between a light (typical) setting and dark or to mirror my phones setting.

Square dark mode makes the app nearly unusable.
Square suddenly started following my iPhone’s system dark mode, and there doesn’t seem to be any setting in the app to change the display mode independently.
My iPhone is intentionally set to Dark Mode, but I do NOT want Square to be in Dark Mode. The entire UI, including the schedule/calendar, is now black, making appointments and different sections extremely difficult to distinguish. It has become very difficult to use for managing my business.
Why was this changed without giving users an option to choose their preferred display mode? If the app is going to follow the phone’s system setting, there should at least be an option to override it within the Square app.
Please give users the ability to choose Light or Dark Mode independently. This is seriously affecting usability.

New update
The decision to automatically mirror light and dark mode to your device, without having an option to turn it off in the app setting was a bad decision, please make a setting where you can toggle light/dark mode in app
Unwanted updates
It’s really frustrating when square does an update, for various bug fixes and improvements and bam, throws in dark mode. Dark mode with no option to turn it off in app, it just follows the iPhone setting which is frustrating. Please add an individual setting for this inside the app.

Been using for 13+yrs. Costs have risen an insane amount for no better service. When I asked why they rose in ‘22 I was literally told “bc they can.” They change the app interface/look every other month, it’s absolutely infuriating. I can’t wait to sell my companies and get rid of square bc they’re so integrated into my companies it’d be too annoying to switch

i can no longer even open my booking app without a notification about tap to pay causing it to glitch and close. i don’t need tap to pay and it shouldn’t cause so many other issues with the app. just let me agree not to use it so i can swipe cards without constant interruption from the “update your ios” i don’t want to update my ios!!! it ruins a iphone 13 y’all are crooks!
