No health integration

Would be much better if it integrated with for example Apple health and the Iwatch to help track rest brakes and sets, etc., without having to have your phone on you. it’s been promised for a long time. It’s still haven’t published the capability. been putting my novice progression program and a StrongLifts to help track until this app becomes more usuable.

Response from developer

Thanks for sticking with the method despite the frustration — that's fair feedback. Apple Health and Apple Watch integration are in active development and included in our v1.1.2 beta right now, so it's genuinely close, not vaporware. We know "soon" wears thin when you've been waiting, and we're sorry it hasn't shipped to everyone yet. In the meantime, the rest timer on your phone is the most reliable workaround we can offer. If you want early beta access, email us at customersupport@strength.club and we'll see what we can do. Keep adding weight to the bar. — Starting Strength team

Fantastic!

Excellent app. Love that you can outright buy it instead of the subscription. Love that it calculates what weight I need. Honestly the most useful app on my phone. Can’t thank you guys enough.

Response from developer

Thank you so much — this made our day! The lifetime option is there exactly for people who are committed to the long haul, and it sounds like you're one of them. The automatic weight calculations and progression are really the heart of the app, so we're glad that's landing as useful. Keep adding weight to the bar, and if you ever need anything, we're at customersupport@strength.club. — Starting Strength team

Simple, straightforward, and effective

Very happy my friend recommended this app to me. I need a little kick in the pants after a few years away from heavy lifting. This is very intuitive and works. Put in the time and follow it, and see the results! Gotta be consistent- that’s on me!

Response from developer

Thank you for the kind words, and big thanks to your friend for the recommendation! You've already figured out the most important part — consistency is the variable that matters most, and the fact that you own that is a great sign. The app will handle the programming, progression, and plate math; you just have to show up. Welcome back to the bar, and enjoy watching those weights climb. If you ever need anything, we're at customersupport@strength.club. — The Starting Strength Team

Not ready

Starting lifting again after a long time off. Went through onboarding, but lost my place during shoulder presses. And rest timer doesn’t continue if you check another app on phone. Going back to V1 for now

Response from developer

Thanks for getting back under the bar — that's the important thing. We want to be upfront: the rest timer issue you described has been addressed in a recent update, so if you haven't updated the app lately, that fix should already be waiting for you in the App Store. If it's still misbehaving after updating, please email us at customersupport@strength.club and we'll sort it out fast. On losing your place during the overhead press — we'd like to understand exactly what happened there. A quick email to customersupport@strength.club with the details will help us reproduce it and get it fixed. V2 is a genuine step forward from V1 — automatic stall detection, smarter programming, plate math, and more — and we think it'll be worth the switch once these rough edges are smoothed out. We'd love to earn you back. — The Starting Strength Team

Simple and effective

Easy way to track progress

Response from developer

Thank you so much — we're glad the app is doing its job and staying out of your way! Simple and effective is exactly what we aimed for. Keep adding weight to the bar, and if you ever need anything, we're at customersupport@strength.club. — The Starting Strength Team
