New design stinks
Location
Update app aug 2026
Terrible New app broken
Open app and it asks me to select a Taco Bell location, okay no problem. I select my nearest Taco Bell. It then has a pop up with “Heads up!”, and I confirm to “keep current location”. Very next pop up is asking me to choose my Taco Bell location again and I end up stuck in an infinite loop and unable to order on app.
New app update
Worst app update ever
Broken app
Update sucks
App update
Can’t order after update
APP GONE BAD TO WORSE
App interface is bad
Updated App Sucks
CONFUSING
Hate the new design
Nice UI, Overlooked UX.
Interacting with the app now, pain points.
1. Searching for your address in the big modal, it’s just a frosted glass box that doesn’t populate addresses that match as you’re typing.
2. Ordering delivery has issues. Make a delivery, you see the map of where you ordered, but if you close out of that screen, you won’t be able to track your order anymore. Forced closed the app, and there’s nowhere for me to track my order.
3. Typing delivery instructions isn’t good either. Tap the input space area to bring the keyboard up, but you won’t be able to see what you’re typing because the UI screen isn’t dynamic.
4. Can’t verify your phone number; tried three times. Sent a code to my phone, and it never was received despite seeing my last four digits in the phone number field.
If I order through the app again, I gotta be desperate or super hungry to do it again.
Not a huge fan of the app redesign
HORRIBLE UPDATE
Broken
The Taco Bell app now effectively requires Location Services to place a pickup order. With location permission disabled, manually searched restaurants are falsely shown as “Closed,” even while their listed hours show they are open. I tested this while physically standing inside an open Taco Bell: enable location permission and mobile ordering immediately works; disable only location permission and the same restaurant is suddenly reported as closed.
This appears to directly violate Apple App Review Guideline 5.1.1, which states that apps “may not require users to enable system functionalities (e.g. … location services …) in order to access functionality [or] use the app.”
Location is not necessary here—I can manually search for and select the restaurant where I want to order. Disabling ordering and misleadingly labeling open restaurants “closed” unless I surrender my location is unacceptable.
I have reported this behavior to Apple for App Review compliance.
Bring back Fresco style on the app!
It’s insane that you took off the ability to easily remove dairy and actually swap it out with pico without an up charge. No consideration for the Taco Bell fans with dairy allergies or people just looking to decrease their fat intake.
