One of the third class service from outlet

I placed an order based on the promised delivery timeline, which showed delivery within 20 minutes. Even after 1 hour, there was no update. When I called the outlet, they simply said their team missed the order and assured delivery “ASAP” without sharing any clear timeline.

After waiting another hour with no resolution, I requested cancellation, which was done. However, I was informed that the refund will take 7 days, despite this delay and cancellation being entirely due to the outlet’s mistake.

This is extremely disappointing service. Customers should not have to wait for refunds because of errors from your side. Kindly process the refund at the earliest and improve your service standards.

Canceled at the Last Minute! Order at Your Own Risk

While their quality is good, their delivery service is highly unreliable. I placed my booking at 8:31 PM. After waiting until 10:00 PM, the outlet abruptly instructed me to cancel through customer service, which the reps confirmed. Being left without a cake at 10:15 PM is unacceptable. I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before ordering from here.

Horrible Delivery ruins Birthday

Terrible experience with Theobroma (Lower Parel). Ordered a Signature Brownie Cake for a birthday, delivery slot 7-8 PM. Despite multiple follow-ups, the cake was delayed by nearly 2 hours, ruining the celebration. The first delivery through porter was canceled, the second delivery said they would be late, and the delivery person made another stop before reaching us. Kids waited in vain, and we never got to cut the cake . Absolutely unacceptable service. Will never order again and strongly advise others to avoid.

Worst customer service ever

I placed an order through the Theobroma App on 31st December, which wasn’t dispatched an hour after ordering hence I called and asked them to cancel the order because I wouldn’t be home. I got a call 2 hours later from a delivery personnel asking about where to deliver, I called them again and they assured me that it was cancelled. On 2nd Jan the app showed delivered although it wasn’t hence I called again and I was told it has been cancelled. I called them on 5th about the refund and they said it has been processed and will take 5-7 days, a week later on 7th I called them again to ask why haven’t I received the refund yet to which they said it had already been processed from their end and they shared an email with reference details which shows it was on 7th they started the refund process after several calls, which is now going to take another 5-7 days. Makes you wonder what kind of a scam based business model is this pastry chain running, so clearly if a customer doesn’t follow up again and again they won’t refund your money. Shame on Theobroma for such practices. That being said there cakes are amazing and we order frequently, it’s better to use Zomato/Swiggy or self service. Better this app be discontinued for delivery.

Birthday cake

Ordered a cake for my son’s birthday but it was received in damaged condition. However a call to customer service quickly resolved the issue and a replacement cake was received on time to celebrate birthday. This gesture on part of Theobroma is greatly appreciated. It has restored my trust in brand Theobroma.

Poor delivery with less products shelf like

I placed hamper on 10th Aug’24 through the app.
All the products which I received were manufactured on 02nd Aug or 03rd Aug, which is dated with expiry in next 1-2 days

Despite contacting to the customer service, I was given a replacement for only 2 products which were orange cookies and butter cookies. However, other products like eggless dense loaf had a validity till 13th Aug’24. The sole purpose for ordering was to gift it to my close relatives, and seeing the manufacturing date a week back has made me really upset.

I am really dissatisfied with their service, and I won’t be going with Theobroma service anymore.

Poor

South Ex part 2 C1, store is worst store. They took 3 hours to deliver. The staffs are really pathetic and mannerless. They will abuse you if you ask for cancellation. Try it, you will experience. File complaint in Consumer court. The entire customer care is just one room with few people, they waste your time like flying bee. Poor service. Pathetic staff. Food average, better option are available. No Cash on Delivery to make you bound Biggest mistake, first and last.

Very poorly managed team

Ordered a cake for an event and inspite of explaining a zillion times what simple 3 worded message to be done on the cake ….. it was not only wrongly done but it was smudged looks like it was not managed properly. The entire vibe and mood was affected . Too bad and very disappointing being charged premium the cake was below average in quality and much below average in the service provided. I want to give zero stars.

Never ever order from this app

After wait for 3 hours, they told me can’t deliver my order from outlet which is 2 ok away from house. Customer support initially misguide me and later on asked to walk-in and pick my order. When I denied to walk-in they asked me to cancel the order.. very very pathetic service. There is no information about my refund also.

Bad experience

Delivery was never made which is a pathetic experience. It was supposed to be birthday surprise for my sister. Ordered through website well in advance 3 hours before and selected the available slot on site.
Called the site for 2-3 times to get an update in the delivery status. I was told it will get delivered for sure as it is ready and packed. Called again at 10pm and I was assured that it will get delivered within 20 minutes positively. I fail to understand why Theobroma accepted the order in first place and second i have been informed when I called again at 10:45 pm to either collect it yourself or cancel the order as riders are not available for the day.
Very disappointing from Theobroma.
Will lot be using delivery options in future. Such and bad experience and ruined moment.

Discount in billing faulty

The discount coupon application has veneer worked on my app. I’d deleted and downloaded again. But it still doesn’t work. I had to go about the extra hassle of calling in to avail of the discount and the telephone team helped but couldn’t fix the app issue.

Fraud, Crap dukan, crap owner, crap staff and most pathetic dukan

Worst bakery worst staff worst commitments. Run away with my money.
Been chasing since Diwali day for the package but not even a single msg no call even after multiple complaints.
Still waiting for my money plus penalty of the same amount I paid.
Beware guys Theobroma is the biggest fraud and cheap corner dukan.
Gang of fraudsters from owner of the brand to the bottom of the this crap dukan.

Delivery always messy

Used to be a very happy customer. Of Theo products even the charming packaging. At Bombay airport.
Now they’ve expanded. Downgraded quality. And no matter what - delivery is always fretful, many calls back and forth. Absolutely zero elegance or grace left - both rather important when you’re dealing in surprise birthday cakes gifted to different addresses

Worst customer service

After i placed an order I received a call quoting non availability of item and they offered me a refund... i had to call customer care to raise a ticket for refund
After confirmation and request for refund placed.... this happened 2 months ago... i raised the ticket thrice till now and everytime i get a reply that my refund will be processed jn 5-7 days.... its been 2 months and i still didnt receive my refund...

Do not waste your time by ordering from here

Never recommend anyone Theobroma to anyone. The service is so pathetic that these guys make us fool by telling the cake will be delivered by 60 minutes but the reality is they take 3.5 hours to deliver the cake within the area of 4 km ( which is 10 mins away). I don’t know their 60 mins is actual 3.5 hours on the clock. They do not have proper information but just make fool of the customers. We are have called them for about 6-7 times and every time they misguide us and honestly these guys are fake. They do not deliver the ordered item on time and make you fool.

The rating is in negative. Do not waste your time by ordering from them

Crossing Republic outlet and the app

Most unprofessional outlet once you book then you cannot follow up on order as the outlet number given in app says- either switched off or not reachable. Centralised number makes you wait very long. Delivery never on time neither some of the items you paid for are not available. A cake ordered at 6:43PM delivered at 9PM after much persuasion. Products value for money is very low. Will advise not order online better visit the outlet. Theobroma in this case fails to be in premium segment.

Pathetic service from Theobroma!!

This has been my worst experience of ordering a 1kg cake from Theobroma!! Am highly disappointed and absolutely upset with their delivery service. They did not

deliver the cake at the scheduled time slot despite ordering a day in advance and they spoiled the whole purpose of surprise. To make things worse, the app showed the cake was delivered, when it wasn’t. No compensation was offered too. Would never use their services in future!

Poor delivery Service

Delivery took 2&1/2 hours which is pathetic, was supposed to be a additional birthday cake to the one ordered separately on Swiggy .The Swiggy order was delivered in 30 minutes , so I fail to understand why the delivery from Theobroma took this long , I did not even receive a call from the store to inform me of the delay, I called the store twice during this period only to be told it will be delivered shortly. Very disappointing from Theobroma. Will not use the delivery option in the future

The variety and quality of products that theobroma offers is amazing! And the app has been very useful in ordering directly from the store!

Worst App experience

I recently tried to order directly from the app, everything went fine, order placed, transaction and order accepted, even dispatched as well as per app shows.
But the order was never delivered, useless attempts made to contact customer care but no response there as well. Suggestion please don’t attempt order from direct app prefer Zomato or others.
