A disaster averted

I booked a hotel in India a few weeks before arriving. When I got to the hotel they did not have the booking in their system. I tried to contact Trip.com help desk and there was a delay but they resolved the issue by giving a generous allowance to choose another hotel. The other hotel was more expensive but Trip.com covered my costs.
