untrustworthy company and horrible service
flights were changed multiple times without our consent, we got moved onto separate flights, our seat selection we had paid for was removed and we were refused a refund or to get our seat selection back. never trust them or pay them any money they’re absolutely useless.
Too many ads
Decent app, but slow down on the ads. If someone already has your app and is opening it why punish them with ads
Poor customer service
The app itself is very user friendly and I like the trip moments and reviews section. Unfortunately this doesn’t carry across to the bookings and customer service side. I booked a flight for 2027 - a very long time away and made an accident, wanted to make a small change and they couldn’t help. I’ve also checked into hotels in the past that I’ve booked via this app and found the hotel looked much worse than the photos - completely run down and not including the facilities listed.

Not recommended
I had a very disappointing experience with Trip.com. I contacted customer service regarding a small issue with my ticket, but instead of helping me find a reasonable solution, I felt that I was simply pushed to cancel my ticket and book a new one, which would cost me more money.
I expected support and assistance, especially for such a minor issue, but I felt that my concerns were not properly addressed. The whole experience left me feeling that the only option being offered was one that required me to spend more money.
I am extremely disappointed with the customer service and the lack of flexibility. Based on my experience, I would not recommend using Trip.com and would advise others to avoid it.

“Charged the Price of a New Flight Just to Change the Date”
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Trip.com and the way my date change request was handled.
I needed to change the date of an existing flight booking and was told that I would need to pay an additional amount due to a supposed fare difference. However, the amount Trip.com asked me to pay was essentially the full price of purchasing the ticket again.
I checked the price of the same flight independently on another booking website, and the ticket price had not increased by anything close to the amount Trip.com was claiming as the fare difference. Based on what I could verify myself, I could not understand or justify why I was being charged almost the entire cost of a new ticket simply to change the date.
I contacted customer service for assistance and an explanation, but unfortunately I found the process extremely unhelpful. I kept being directed through the same process and presented with the same requirement to pay the full amount, rather than having someone properly investigate and explain the discrepancy.
I understand that airlines may charge change fees and that fare differences can apply. My issue is not with paying a legitimate fee or genuine fare difference. My issue is being asked to pay what appeared to be the full cost of another ticket while being told that this was simply the fare difference.
I expected much better transparency and customer service from a company of this size. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone booking through Trip.com carefully check the airline’s direct price and other booking platforms before agreeing to any substantial charges for changing a booking.
Unfortunately, after this experience, I would be very hesitant to use Trip.com again.
