I have gotten paid on time every two weeks of 1000 or more and they won’t give me any barrow over 20 dollars they gave me before I got paid and I paid when I got my first check and they have not let me borrow again or anything just go to chime guys I’m Jalontae Johnson and I approve this review for people working and needing help from you bank sometimes chime is the love and the love

Cancelling account after 10+ years
Honestly, I have had a bank with Varo for over 10 years and always thought they were great. Highly recommended, had many friends and family join because of the convenience of the mobile banking but the last two times I have reached out for a dispute. I have gotten no assistance I was charged for services I didn’t receive tried to file a dispute. Varo basically told me that they don’t deal with that not their problem contact the merchant The merchant won’t respond to me. I also provided proof of a canceled subscription that charged me $80 tried to dispute that they told me there was nothing they could do about it. I’ve been with this bank for a really long time and it’s very disappointing because they used to be much more willing to help when there is an issue but if I can’t be protected against fraudulent charges, what’s the point in keeping my money with this bank. Worst bank ever!!
Do not use this bank. It is trash, they’ve taken over $1500 and can’t give me an explanation to where it’s at. Terrible customer service.
Simply awful
No matter what you do, you can’t open a account. Like I can’t even get past the login stage. It’s bizarre, not sure where all the high ratings are coming from. AI? Aliens?
Worst app ever!
They will not push through transaction or let you add money to your cash app or Apple Pay … card just constantly decline I chatted with support they said they fixed it twice mind you I tried after 15 mins still didn’t work.

Unusable app
Makes you put a mailing address and then says to recheck address because it’s wrong but it’s not it’s a real address that can receive mail. No way around it and no way to use the app
Bank Denial
Cari won’t approve me because my bank “doesn’t qualify” even though I get my weekly direct deposit from work in that bank.
A big joke for a bank
They have been lending me money every month for over a year an getting paid back on time. This last time rep in customer service who I chatted with because the dates were not working an he said what date I had to put down which it wasn’t late because u have a grace period an they drop me down yiu got me f up get a real banking business cause your not one

DO NOT USE FOR MOBILE CHECK DEPOSIT
This is a nice bank but do not I repeat do not use them for mobile check deposit it takes a full week. Better off just going to a store paying a fee and cashing it. Only thing I have to say about them tho.

Varo is an awful thing to have to deal with. Stay away from this bank. They are totally ineffective when you run into any issue of trying to fix it and will just waste your time and hold onto your funds refusing to release them for legitimate transactions.

Ive been using this app for almost 1 year for direct deposit got the cash advance to $100 after paying it on time it dropped down to $20 got scammed for them to make extra money do not recommend them
Don’t believe what you read about Zelle
Unless you deposit directly with this bank, you can’t even use Zelle. They give me an option to spend at least $1000 a month and then maybe I can use them but that doesn’t help my situation nor do they even say that on their app preview.

THEY DONT HELP YOU
I had a scam situation that I literally called them 3 HOURS after I paid it to someone who told me that I wasn’t getting a refund and have the call recording to prove it. Called the dispute line and told them everything and how I had proof, the guys Carlos was gone for 1 literal minute and told me to work it out with the merchant. I told him again that that person LITERALLY said no to refunding me because as a private merchant they can basically. But Varo policies sides with the merchants and not the buyers. GO TO A DIFFERENT BANK. They will tell you the managers will tell you no if you ask for one. I told him to just tell me that my money is gone and Carlos kept sighing HEAVILY in my hear. Don’t waste your time please and go with a company that will make sure you get your money back.
