Portobello voi

Add voi bikes to portobello xx
Too treks for me pal

You will never find the parking

The bikes its ok, but i guess because nobody use them
It feels that the parking areas change almost every week, i tried to take thr bake here three times and EVERY TIME i couldn’t park it even on designed parkings
So you will trying to find parking and pay for it

Ride wouldn’t stop

It wouldn’t stop the ride even after I closed the app so o had to uninstall and reinstall

Needs work

Apple Pay doesn’t work you have to physically enter a card. The referral of £5 also didn’t work and they make it your problem. The wheels and suspension could be better you feel each bump otherwise it’s more modern than lime at the moment

No range

I took a bike from Isleworth over to Richmond. Then was told I couldn’t park it there and there nearest parking location was Isleworth.
So had to go all the way back again.
£8.90 for a round trip to return the bike.
Insane. Only use them if you plan to go less than 30 feet

App works brilliantly

Great scheme for the city of Aberdeen, good selection of locations. App has caused no grief at all.

Terrible, Avoid

I’ve been using this app for pretty much exactly a week. On a regular basis bikes are out of order and I don’t find out until a couple of minutes into the journey meaning I have to physically move a heavy huge bike to the nearest parking spot OR bikes simply aren’t where they say on the map. Do better

This company has since taken money from me for rides not taken

Bad across the board

Bad app, unsafe bikes, and shocking parking offerings. 1 star is an overstatement.

Better prices than lime

As I said better prices than lime

Difficult around London

Voi doesn’t let you park even around other e-bikes like Lime and Forest e-bike around london. It’s always hard to find parking for Voi. And it slows down your speed randomly around London. There’s other e-bike companies in london that don’t have these issues.

Questionable and Unfair Charging System

Very questionable charging system. I had a journey of 4:02 and was charged for 5 full minutes, yet another journey lasted 3:40 and I was charged £1.08. So they round up when you’re seconds over a minute, but still charge by the second when you’re under.

Even more concerning, receipts only show whole minutes, not seconds. My 3:40 journey appears as “4 minutes” on the receipt. When I challenged this on live chat, I was told my journey was 4 minutes, despite it actually being 3:40.

This makes it extremely difficult for customers to verify exactly what they are being charged for. In my experience, the system seems designed to favour Voi whichever way the journey time falls. Customers should be shown the exact ride duration and charged in a clear and consistent way.

The worse

Where do I begin? First, I think the basic product (the bikes) are not great. The older bikes are uncomfortable and feel unsafe. The new models are better but (for me) still worse than Lime as they are small and though an improvement still don’t feel safe. However, what really finishes them off is the app. It’s fiddly, and prone to error. Its bad enough in Cambridge where they have - unfortunately a monopoly - but It’s extremely poor in London as the P spots are outdated in many places and the app often cliches requiring support so you cannot end rides and they won’t refund. It’s not good enough.

Misleading app , price gouging parking

The parking options for Voi are truly terrible, insofar that the cumulative time you save by using a Voi bike is dwarfed by the time you will spend infuriatingly driving around trying to find Vois few designated parking locations. The app is also decidedly unclear about where the red zones are. I’ve opened it a few times to check if my destination is parkable only to arrive and have the app tell me the nearest parking spot is a 20 minute walk away. As a result I’ve been extremely late to multiple appointments. To add, their customer service is atrocious and you really feel as though you are a faceless customer they couldn’t care less for
