Very poor design

I have this through my health insurance so you’d think the app would be fantastic with all it’s funding but I’ve used free apps that work better. It crashes all the time and says there is an error logging in for a good 10-15 minutes until it decides to work again. The nutrition page updates poorly, is terribly designed, and sometimes just shows the wrong information all together. Really poor performance that is more likely to frustrate people than actually help them improve their health.

Gliches constantly

I want to love this app. It has great recipes however I am constantly having to close and reopen the app. You can’t print the recipes nor share them. And if you want to go back to a different screen you have to close and reopen the app.

Needs improvements

I am using this to primarily track my macros. The database of foods is lacking and nowhere near the comprehensive list with other apps like My Fitness Pal. There is no flexibility to adjust the food serving size, servings, or manually add foods to the database that are not found. While the voice record is nice it is also not flexible.

Inconvenient

The contents in the app are overall good and promote a healthy lifestyle. The user experience is bad. The app makes you login every time you open it discouraged users to actually use the log feature. I wouldn’t pay for this app and I have stopped using it because I don’t have the time to login every time I want to track 1 little thing.

Can’t login badly designed sign up

Can speak to the app but I can’t even login. My insurance offered this to me so I tried to check it out. After signing on with my health safe I’d on the web and verifying insurance I was asked to download the app. Once I got that it asked for my email to login, but my email is not recognized. When I try to use my hs id to login it takes me to the website, confirms my login and then kicks me back to the app to login again with email that it does not recognize again. I tried signing up and had a similar blocker, ever though I signed up with an email, I still need to use my hs id, and it still asks for my email (which I gave) but it still does not recognize. Frustrating enough to generate a review. I don’t even know what this app does.

Couldn’t get past login in on the app

I registered and downloaded the app and then I couldn’t get past login. I don’t even know what this app can do because I couldn’t open it.

I may try again in a couple months and see if it’s been fixed.

Really terrible

Unlike some users I was easily able to login… but anytime I try to click on anything it tells me there’s a technical issue and to refresh the app. Typical app from an insurance like UHC.

Tedious calorie tracking

It’s well known that tracking your food works! This app is a major pain - if you make a dish, you have to track each ingredient, then divide by the number of servings, for each ingredient! The next time you eat that same exact serving you have to start over. It’s impossible to save your recipe. The app remembers your most frequent foods, but it’s ridiculously hit or miss, remembering for weeks one random thing but never your daily foods. If you only eat processed foods it’s easy enough to scan the bar code. It also tracks a bunch of things like movement and mood, but never ever gives any feedback so it’s not worth the effort. There’s a weekly report but it’s just the straight numbers. If you don’t track some meals those zeros are factored in. It’s not giving any real or helpful information. This app is free through my insurance and I wish like crazy it worked!

Limited food tracking options

You can only track foods that have already been added or that have a bar code. There’s no way to create your own food or recipe and add the nutritional information.

Ridiculous That They Can’t Figure Out the Basics

I got a notification from my health insurance that I was eligible for this free account with wellos. I was excited, as I have been planning to get something like this anyway. I spent about an hour this morning, setting up an account. I downloaded the app and just get stuck in a login loop. Seems this is an issue for lots of people and has been for months, and the fact that they haven’t sorted it out says it all. They’re not serious about this app at all. Typical for a company like United healthcare to pretend they’re offering something to help you that doesn’t actually work.

Very difficult to use

Just in trying to create my account, have had to type in email address multiple times on screen the size of phone, app doesn’t use full size iPad keypad. So far I haven’t even been able to access the content. Thanks a lot to my health insurance for such a half baked app experience. This is not wellness.

Fraudulent

Deceitful app website. They get your insurance info and them charge your credit card on a 3 day trial ( charged before the trial) I want a refund! If you read this please beware. I will be filing a dispute with my credit card company and notifying My insurance to make sure they don't file any charges there.

Unusable

Trying to use the app and it is in a logon loop. Type in your login information, the app looks like it is loading, and back to the sign in prompt again.

Waste of time

Doesn’t let me log in. No incorrect username/password error. After I get done verifying my account it just takes me back to the app launch screen. Waste of time.

Currently unusable

This app doesn't work on either android nor iOS. Both devices are new, but not in some crazy incompatibility because of new hardware or technology used. The app is just plain garbage.

Terrible app

I got access to Wellos free as part of my health care coverage. I thought I’d try it out. I deleted the app within five minutes of installing it, because the functionality is so janky. Simply moving sliders while trying to log my day caused the app to recycle. Closing the app and reopening required signing in again, which was two separate processes, due to logging into Wellos THEN into their separate SSO system.

The whole thing feels like an app skin over a simple web portal. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Terrible UX. Terribly implemented UI. 0/10
