Pre auths and fax machines
I love the concept of this app. However as the freedoms of choosing a doc stat is amazing and so convenient I want to pinch myself.
The only problem I am running into is that i am stuck paying out of pocket during a crisis...: ??!! Why you ask? The docs pre AUTH dept states that
1. We have a fax machine and it takes a long time for the pharmacy' to receive it??
I have never ever heard of this excuse in all of my 42 yrs in the healthcare industry. Doc was great but his pre AUTH dept hasn't the grit to come up with a better solution . Since when is it the patients job to do the footwork and behind the scenes paperwork that needs to be done before the patient gets the medication at the pharmacy?
What if the patient needs the medication and this pre AUTH dept isn't in drive they are stalling out , it's been 2 months to a week later for a new doc....We are in the yr 2026 and your antiquated system is costing ppl their basic needs to help them out over a fax machine? What?
This is an urgent matter - SOLUTION ; take a picture of the completed PRE AUTH INFO AND send it through email. I am seriously considering charging for this service; and firing the pre AUTH depts -
don't look back dr you will be broke and have very little patience Patients. So tragic in today's world when we charge a vehicle' send scan charts but can not get the desired paperwork in when they had Eight days. Patients don't need your problems they need solutions.

I needed to cancel the appointment and trying to call the office and the phone number that Zocdoc provided was wrong.
