Waste of time. It's a great concept tho. But it will not show you anyone near your location you type in or have it locate you.
I love this app
It has helped me get my medications right for my mental health and I’ve found a good psychiatrist for my kids so it’s awesome if your looking for any kind of dr you should try it it doesn’t disappoint

Pre auths and fax machines
I love the concept of this app. However as the freedoms of choosing a doc stat is amazing and so convenient I want to pinch myself.
The only problem I am running into is that i am stuck paying out of pocket during a crisis...: ??!! Why you ask? The docs pre AUTH dept states that
1. We have a fax machine and it takes a long time for the pharmacy' to receive it??
I have never ever heard of this excuse in all of my 42 yrs in the healthcare industry. Doc was great but his pre AUTH dept hasn't the grit to come up with a better solution . Since when is it the patients job to do the footwork and behind the scenes paperwork that needs to be done before the patient gets the medication at the pharmacy?
What if the patient needs the medication and this pre AUTH dept isn't in drive they are stalling out , it's been 2 months to a week later for a new doc....We are in the yr 2026 and your antiquated system is costing ppl their basic needs to help them out over a fax machine? What?
This is an urgent matter - SOLUTION ; take a picture of the completed PRE AUTH INFO AND send it through email. I am seriously considering charging for this service; and firing the pre AUTH depts -
don't look back dr you will be broke and have very little patience Patients. So tragic in today's world when we charge a vehicle' send scan charts but can not get the desired paperwork in when they had Eight days. Patients don't need your problems they need solutions.

Wrong phone number
I needed to cancel the appointment and trying to call the office and the phone number that Zocdoc provided was wrong.
Medicaid
So I was initially very happy with this app had all my doctors and everything. Then MY doctors started not accepting Medicaid so I needed to switch. I have attempted to make 34 doctors appointments that all were ‘in network’ just to get them cancelled on me because they are NOT in fact IN network. Please update the system or check with providers MORE on their insurance policy.

Will say a doctor is in network but they aren’t.
Phenomenal app!
What a relief it is to have an app like this available at our fingertips. With a simple picture of your health insurance, it immediately lets you know who’s in your network!
Then you get a list of doctors along with patient recommendations and locations so you can easily book your own appointment! How brilliant… you don’t even need to phone the doctors! It couldn’t be simpler:)!
I love that I did not even need to pick up a phone to make my appointment. You are provided with the doctor schedule and timeslots available.
The only thing I would watch for is “sponsored” ads by doctors. The doctors that sponsor themselves pay more to be listed at the top. I prefer to have a patient recommendation then a sponsored.
I have made several doctor’s appointments using this app and all of the doctors have been stellar.
I’m super appreciative for this brilliant app making booking Dr. appointments a snap!

Awesome and Easy Platform
I love using ZocDoc. Been using for at least 10 years. Easy to book reschedule and cancel appointments and I always find exactly who I’m looking for! Also I appreciate the checklist of providers I SHOULD be seeing lol.
CEO came to visit me
I am very impressed with ZocDoc. The CEO came from NY to visit me in Texas. I appreciate that he took the time to do so. Unfortunately I had an emergency with my son at his school, so I had to close my doors for a little while and I missed him. Hopefully we can reconnect and I can speak to him again. I enjoyed speaking with him on the phone in 2009.

Help is on the way
One of zodiac Dentist made a mistake and scheduling appointment appointments for the day he was off was nice enough to reach out and give me an alternative appointment time with a different Dentist
got sent to an abandoned building then charged $100 for “missing my appointment”
apparently there was “nothing the provider could do about that” and “it was the app”

This app is very easy to find highly rated doctors and to schedule appointments.
Wasted my time and provider’s time never again
I booked an appointment with a specific cosmetic dentist, they sent multiple texts and emails having me confirm my appointment with this specific dentist, I arrive and the dentist does not even work on that day and the office has no idea that I had selected a cosmetic consult on Zocdoc. Wasted two hours of my time, the provider’s time, and many tears because I am already anxious going to the dentist and now have to find a time to reschedule and endure it again. Would never recommend. I also read they charge your provider when you book so why would I want to do make them incur that fee?

Irrelevant results
The app keeps giving me only psychiatrists when I look for pain management. So far this has only happened with pain management, and of course none of the results are relevant.
I also can never actually find relevant doctors in my area, and instead seem to be several hours away. As someone with chronic illnesses and anxiety around doctors, the app really has not been helpful for me and only hurtful in some ways.
I hope all can be fixed and improved soon as this would be an amazing resource for people like me, if only it worked. I know it has helped many people so far and has amazing potential, but for now I’ll probably have to keep sifting through hospital sites and google searches.
