i love ordering my contacts from here

Ever since i started ordering my bi-weekly eye contacts from here we have been saving money because the eye clinic that i go to doesnt provide the bi-weekly ones and only the daily ones which of course cost way more.. and so ever since i have been ordering from here i just fell in loveee they even give you a free contact case

Payment method needs work

App is easy to use for the most part , that being said I’ve ordered stuff on accident because it’s “to easy” you add stuff to cart then when you’re in the cart it’s just “place order” no let’s verify your payment your address just one click and it orders it. Pretty annoying considering all sorts of apps to usually go thru two or more steps before you hit that place order button

The company will only refund to original payment source, even if that payment source is now closed.

This company refused the refund except to the original payment source which is closed. The company had all verified information, but insisted on going through its own process despite having a recent order and a recent credit card from me. Not reasonable, not appreciated not going to use this company again. The prices may be competitive, but there are many other sources from which to buy these days.

Weird glitch or intentional?

Every time I open the app it opens right at the checkout cart with 12 boxes of contacts for each eye ready to purchase. The purchase is over $1200 and all I have to do is place the order. But my question is why does the app always open in the cart ready for me to purchase 24 boxes of contacts? I have removed it from the cart every time I open the app. And when I open it again it’s there in the checkout cart ready for me to purchase. Please fix this because I do not want to accidentally purchase 24 boxes of contacts.

horribly inefficient and frustrating

terrible experience. went through probably 10 attempts to do the virtual eye exam and still never got to the end. seems there are endless issues and errors, or endless loading on many steps… thought this was a quick way to get contacts but doesn’t seem to be any more efficient than just going to a real eye doctor as opposed to this company faking it. 0/10, do NOT recommend to anyone. just go to a real eye doctor and skip this BS… it is incredibly frustrating and inefficient.

Terrible App

Stop asking users to enable notifications EVERY SINGLE TIME THE APP IS USED! We’ve disabled Notifications for a reason, ACCEPT IT!

Fix the tax and charging issues when placing orders and paying via ApplePay.

Stop reporting negative reviews that tell you about app bugs you haven’t fixed in 5 years because you don’t like 1 star reviews… just fix your app bugs.

Tax Rate Issue

Your app blows in terms of being able to OCR uploaded prescriptions. What’s the point in uploading an image if it can’t recognize the prescription numbers for lenses and you still end up calling the Dr.’s office to verify it. Just seems stupid to have an order placed with no prescription power numbers specifics until one of your employees oversees it. The upload is a useless feature without OCR for the lens info. I end up having to build a manual one with the right prescription numbers.

You STILL haven’t fixed the tax issue described below! You keep charging 9% tax because you don’t know how to calculate it correct per each state where orders are placed from! What is wrong with your developers?!

Why does your app show and charge a 9% sales tax rate when checking out with Apple Pay, but then the invoice is corrected to the appropriate tax rate for the state order is being placed from?! How has this NOT yet been fixed yet in over 3 years?!?!?!?!?

So sorry for the frustration with your experience in the app! We always appreciate your feedback. We're unable to reproduce the Apple Pay issue, but if you have time to email us at mobile.help@1800contacts.com with more info, we'd love to investigate more! In addition, we can't be sure that an expiration date we have on file is valid, since a customer may have received an updated exam since they last ordered. So, we always contact the eye care provider to verify the Rx, unless we have a valid paper Rx on file. We'll work to make this clearer in the app to avoid confusion and hassle! In the meantime, if needed, our ExpressExam is a quick and easy way to renew an Rx in our app and get lenses shipped! Thanks for your patience!

Express shipping

I wouldn’t recommend paying for a quicker shipping option. Still took a week to get them. Also, the contacts themselves seem to fit differently than when I purchase from my optometrist office.

Amazon customer service

This is literally the best customer service I’ve ever seen. They respond instantly when you text them. Always use the text option for customer support.

Spam DO NOT GET THIS!

I deleted this app off my phone bc I no longer need or want to use and this app somehow manages to send me random come on text messages. I delete, block and even report as spam but it still keeps coming back sending me BS texts. I don’t know what to do. Help! 🤬

Wrong lenses sent won’t replace

I’m not spending any more time with this company even for a negative review. You better hope they don’t send you the wrong brand because their guarantee is bogus after I was informed several times that they couldn’t or wouldn’t for all sorts of reasons deleting my account

Wow!

Where have I been? Since when is 1800 so budget-friendly! I have been paying $50-60 for 4 pair of contacts and I just got 20 pair for $20 and I purchased some glasses too, along with a free eye exam! Super thankful I gave them a shot. Fast and simple! Amazing!

Horrible

App freezes up and is useless

iOS 26.1 widget not updating

Ever since the os update, the widget has stopped updating days remaining. It only updates when you manually open the app.

Lens gauge

Lens gauge is back, and with a widget, yay! And now it tells you how many days late you are changing your lenses again instead of just sitting at 0 days!

Wait…what?!

So if I order on a Wednesday and expedite the shipping for $20 to have one business day shipping, you don’t ship my contacts until Friday. Two days after my order while you’re verifying the prescription? The same prescription I’ve had for the same blind eyes for three years? You ruined my ability to wear sunglasses on a vacation. Explain this to me. Never mind I’ll just go somewhere else.

It has its problems

The app is fine. My issue is with the contacts counter. The macro is really nice for keeping track of how many days I’ve been wearing contacts. Well the thing seems broken now, to the point where now the time ticks UP instead of down. And I can’t go in the app and manually reset it because it doesn’t respond. This should really be fixed.

Lens Tracker works correctly again

The ongoing saga of the lens tracker returned to the positive with the widget +/- buttons working quickly and correctly.

Now, it was more logically integrated to the marketing emails to stop telling me I need more lens now (when I repot having full boxes in reserve) it would reduce the spam in my inbox

TERRIBLE. SAVE UR MONEY

Terrible experience. Terrible website, terrible costumer service, Also do not pay the $20 express exam. They tried to make me take it twice in one night, trying to make me pay $20 each time . They Messed up my order and canceled it now I have to wait 7 business days for my money back. This is worse than making a trip to the optometrist. Save ur money.
