Uploading documents

Very hard to upload docs from the phone, give an option to upload through email

Do not waste your time

They refused my documents, but they continued sending me emails to pay my monthly payments as if I have an account with them.
All attempts to contact them failed , they simply don't response
They focus on their rights, but they intentionally do nothing to protect your rights
I do not recommend this garbage bank for any serious person

Account Frozen Without Explanation

Beware, if bunq flags you for whatever reason they want they will steal your funds. You then have zero options to call or contact them until they finish their review in 4 months. This is a disaster for expats and an awful way to treat your customers.

Poor verification and customer service

I created an account with bunq from Germany and the verification says only 5 minutes it’s been 10 hours and yet still verifying I don’t know why that would take so long just to get completed.

I got verified only for my bunq account to be closed because of failed online transactions and I have an incoming transfer which was made before the account was closed of 11,300€ and the support takes days before responding please I need to get my money back I need immediate refund into my account.

Forecast spending not working at all

Forecasting is still useless and not working but App improved usability with latest version and looks like bugs are getting addressed better and faster with more responsive help desk. Good job.. hope things will further improve to get you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ===================== The feature advertised lately about the forecasting of your expenditures does not work at all. The graph does not account any planned payment or any recurring charge or even the periodic wage income. I had been using bunq for more than a year and this feature never worked. Not even close to reality. Incredible this feature is advertised as a top one. It just does not work. Open several tickets and together articles but still nothing. How difficult can it be if even ING got it working pretty nicely since years?

scam

i transferred €3000 from my new zealand account into my bunq account and then bunq closed my account for ‘suspicious activity’ and is now refusing to give my money back after many emails!!!

Can’t close my account

the bunq app crashes every time I try to go through the sequence to close my account. it’s ridiculous! I still haven’t managed to close it.

App is not responsive

I tried to access my new account 15 Times, after that I deleted the app.
It’s a nightmare, you don’t want an app that asks you to do the same thing over and over again.
On top of that my husband and I tried to share an account, it’s IMPOSSIBLE.
Not recommended.

Worst most Untrustworthy bank I have ever experienced

At first the bank appears all shiny and has a fit for purpose app. Until the technical issues begin. Absolute shoddy set up and the most Unprofessional staff and CS

Within 3-4 months they block your account, for no reason not to mention the currency exchange that disappeared and took a week to get refunded.

Still no idea why they restricted my account t but after 8-10 weeks of the most unprofessional customer service and never ending misunderstandings,all while my funds in the account remained frozen, closed the account and a few weeks later did manage to get my money back.

Sticking with my main UK and DE banks least they are trustworthy.

Disappointing

Didn’t have a good experience with this bank. I tried to open an account 3 times with valid documents and they refused to open an account. Maybe because I’m trans and my document say I’m a different gender and I look different. I tried to choose this bank so I could put my chosen name. I guess it’s never easy for us. Expected nothing, but still disappointed. Oh well
