  • Great service great people

    I have multiple bank accounts at different banks, and to be honest, those bank accounts and services normally do just fine. I’ve never paid much attention on them.

    Recently I urgently needed a proof of funds document from a bank. I went to nearby branches of some major banks that I have accounts at, and to my surprise, many reps at the banks refused to help and turned me away without even trying.

    On the contrary, although the custom service at Bunq was reached by chatting, a rep called Isra understood how important this document is to me and submitted a request to her colleagues, and kept me updated about the process.

    To be fair, she could turn me away as others did because it is easy, but she chose to help me out. The great service from good companies come from great and kind-hearted people.

    Thanks for the help to all the people at Bunq who helped in my case, although I do not know your names. Please keep up the good work. You are making a difference here.

  • Confusing app

    Can never figure out how to do simple banking steps, and there is no phone support. Not at all easy to work with, but are quick to charge subscription fees.
  • Not recommended

    You might not think you need physical bank branches, or even a customer service number for simple banking. But you will quickly realize why you want them when you start to use this labyrinthian, poorly designed, overly simplified app.
  • Used to be great..

    This used to be a great bank with an ever greater app, quick and responsive now it only talks about instagram and buying trees. Until they come with an new interface you should avoid it.
  • Cannot open account

    I downloaded the app. Im trying to open an account, it tells me there’s an error that information is needed but no option to do this nor does it say what other information.
  • Stupidly designed like a game

    This app is far far away from something you can call a bank. It's just an app and not even a sophisticated one but a childish game. When you want to trust someone and let them keep your money, you need TRUST. You can't find it in bunq
  • Essential banking functions buried

    This used to be an amazing app with the best usability I’ve ever seen. With this release, the core features (like your account list and balances) are hidden behind meaningless gamification. The daily joy of using a beautifully designed tool is gone in this version. Also there are a lot of bugs, mysterious billing errors, and dishonest messaging. Now is not the time to open a Bunq account. Hopefully they reconsider in future versions.

  • Incomprehensible

    I don’t think I’ve ever been compelled to write a negative review before, but this just might be the worst UI/UX I’ve ever seen.

    Unlike many of the other recent (negative) reviews, I can’t compare it with previous versions of the app. I was simply trying to be a new customer and sign up for an account with one of the new generation of mobile banks. But instead of even a passably professional banking experience, what I found was a bizarre gamification app focusing on tree planting and “trophies” and asking for access to my contacts (!). If I hadn’t known it was (supposed to be) a banking app, I’d have thought I’d accidentally downloaded a new game from Apple Arcade. All of which made it nearly impossible to find or identify how to do the basic functions (which was banking, in case we forgot).

    Ultimately, after heroically wading through all the fluff, I couldn’t even figure out if I signed up correctly. Do I have a Bunq account now? Do I not? Who can tell? In the end, it doesn’t matter because I’m certainly not trusting my money to this thing and am deleting the app.

  • App became bad

    The bank is good but the new app became super bad, over crowded. Please get back to a more minimalist layout, and remove all of the environmentalist things, most of the customer base isn’t interested
  • Possibly the worst release I’ve ever seen

    This is a full meltdown. Random charges with no warning or explanation appear disappear and the reappear. Accounts are being frozen. (Yes, they have people’s money and won’t release it. )Not to mention how incredibly difficult it would be to navigate even if it functioned properly.

    Apple should seriously consider pulling it from the store. A visit to their customer feedback forum shows the nightmare. Hundreds of past from bug reports to bad UI complaints with no response from an obviously overwhelmed CS team. This is a bank app. What do you think the security looks like if the front end is such a disaster. I’m sure hackers are running amok. I’ve no idea when I’ll see my money.

    I genuinely have never seen anything like this.
