  • Impossible to use with new update

    I don’t get to have Costa very often since it’s not in the town I now live but I always want some when I go home to visit. However since the new app update it’s impossible to use and makes ordering 100x more difficult. This app won’t let me change my location when ordering. When I attempt to it says there are “no locations near you” which is crap because there are 4 within 30 minutes of my parents house. Additionally when I attempted to order online bypassing the app entirely it wouldn’t let me order because apparently it was still “closed for the holiday” even though it is open. I’ve never been more annoyed before. Add that on top of losing rewards that were in the app, not being able to scan receipts, and just being super glitchy this has made it awful to attempt to order ahead or do anything convenient with costa vida. Fix the issues and you’ll keep your customer base happy.

  • Poor implementation - downgrade from prior loyalty app

    Points from prior application did not move to new app. Many attempts by support teams, unload app, delete id, establish new id, allow messages, credit from prior app has not moved to new app. Old app allowed very easy scanning of receipt, new implementation forces you to a web site and manual entry of receipt number and $amount. This seems like a huge downgrade from the prior implementation, which WAS one of the better designed restaurant loyalty apps. Several other functions disabled from old to new.

  • Update and it's AWESOME

    You can tell a ton of work has been done on Costa's back end once you sign in to the new app. It works as ur should; my points update, I don't have to scan my receipts, I can scan at the register and get credit for my order and I love that I can order from the app using my points! Well done Costa
  • Can’t Create Account After App Update

    Your new app vendor is terrible. I can’t create an account because my number is allegedly already registered with an account, but there is no way to figure out what email is associated with the number, and “Forgot My Password” only works with the email address, and not the number.

    The account should only be tied to the email address OR the number, not both. People can use many email addresses associated with the same number. It is not a one-to-one relationship as your app seems to think it is.

  • Terrible update

    I usually eat at Costa Vida a few times a week, and the old app worked fine for me. The new app is TERRIBLE. It keeps telling me to recreate my account and then when I go to recreate it tells me that info is already in use and I need to sign in, but then when I try and sign in it tells me to create a new account. It’s just an endless loop and I had to sit there in line all embarrassed because I had no clue the app just got changed. The new app is very poorly coded and honestly I missed out on a ton of points and they hardly give good rewards anyways so I think I’m gonna stick to cafe rio from now on. Really poor quality.

  • Sign-in bug

    I’m not able to sign in at all. The problem is I use my email to sign in and it tells me I need to create a new account and link my email. So I go to create a new account and the app tells me I have already used this email and need to go to sign-in to link it??? If I need to make a completely different account with a new email address and number, what is the point of being able to “link” accounts? I had around 20 points on the app and am now not able to use it.

  • New app is junk. Food and people are great

    If this was a review of the people working at your Jordan Landing location it would be 5 stars. But since this is a rating of your new “upgraded” app, I cannot give more than 1 star. Fire the vendor that sold you on this garbage app. My points don’t update on the app when I make a purchase (not on any of my two visits in the past 10 days), but the updated points show up if I log into the website. So if your app developer can’t even sync points from the website correctly, that’s sad. Bring back the old app just like New Coke gave way to the return of Classic Coke back in the day. In this case “new” doesn’t mean better. We want the old app back.

  • New Update is terrible

    As many others have said in recent reviews, having to create a new account with the new update was a big pain. I had about $50 in rewards, and I went to Costa Vida one day expecting to get a free meal. Unfortunately it was while in line that I discovered I had temporarily lost access to my points, and had to pay with my own money.

    I finally got around to creating a new account, and now with the new point system I went from $50 of rewards, to 3 entrees which equals about $30 in rewards. It feels like the update was just a way for the Costa execs to cheat the system they themselves created. Super unethical.

  • This is ridiculous

    Ridiculous that you are having us ‘re-sign up’ you are losing many of us because you continue to change things that were part of the reasons we come to your restaurant. The other issue besides the re-sign in is changing the triple points Thursday to double points. It’s not like the food and service are over the top. The Mesa restaurant is never clean. The outside tables and area are always dirty with food and trash. It’s not always easy to find a clean table inside. The horchata is always close to empty and the horchata tastes like powder. Do you want us to come back because it seems you are trying to chase us away.

  • Terrible experience

    Laggy. I could live with it if there weren’t bugs that block the entire order. But after entering 6 items twice with “no pico” the app literally BLOCKS the entire order even though it’s a valid option in the app or at the store. Wife and I both tried independently and it’s just broken.

    So I won’t be using this app again anytime soon. I’ll simply go elsewhere. Maybe do better UX testing in the future
