  • ADDICTED!!!

This is the most addicting game I have never stopped playing. As I got “near” the top level - Prime Minister, I think - an update added several new levels to keep me intruiged.

My only question is the Devil’s Six. Sometimes a random deal leaves a card or two “locked” behind a higher card of its suit. The game appears unwinnable when dealt. Is there a way around this? Am I missing something? So I just deal another game and off I go to to satisfy my addiction.

Other than making unnecessary IAP’s, this is a great game.

  • A great game but fiendish

I saw this and downloaded it because I wanted to play something different and it is very different!
I had to forget any strategies I had developed for other games and once I started to think ‘outside the box’ I managed to start winning. It’s a bit like golf; the one good hole makes up for the seventeen failures and ensures you come back for more.
My failure rate isn’t as bad as some people make out. I’ve managed six wins out of the first twenty five challenges ( so far!)
    I dare you to try!

  • Love this game

Endless great gameplay after one off purchase. It's of the few permanent games I have kept over many many months.

Would like it if it didn't need to flip to landscape format between games, as I prefer to play in portrait view on iPad.
  • Great game, marred by greed

The gameplay is good, but the random deals don't appear to be properly random.
I have played probably 20 random games now and did not manage to complete a single game.
The random deals seem to conspire against gameplay, with a view to forcing the player into purchasing add-ons, such as undo.
I agree with other reviewers, that features, such as an amount of undo per game, should be included within the game price.
Come on Javelin, do the right thing like Winston would have done.

  • Ruined by greed

I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews. Yes, the game itself is mainly enjoyable, but there are major flaws exacerbated by the developer’s greed. First the flaws: I downloaded the first pack of 25 hands; there is no indication of the difficulty of a hand, and even worse, if it has a solution at all. I really don’t want to waste time on an unsolvable. But here’s where it hurts: they sell you “undo”s whether it is solvable or not. That is wrong.

The packs should be sold by difficulty level, every puzzle should have a solution, and undos should be free. Not exactly radical ideas. Imagine if the NYT Crossword app made you pay to correct an entry! Or sold you puzzles that didn’t have solutions. Would never happen, so why here? Greed.

  • A brilliant iteration...

...marred by greed. The history, the atmosphere, the production values are all excellent. Having said that, paying to undo moves? Paying double the (already too high) asking price to unlock levels? Pants, pants, pants.

I would willingly pay £5.99 ONCE to unlock the game forever, or *perhaps* a yearly subscription of £7.99 if communication and customer service were proven to be top notch. Over time.

Setting sky high prices is cashing in on goodwill which hasn’t yet been established. Hopefully an oversight and not a planned thing. Time will tell.

PLEASE rethink your pricing, because the game itself deserves five stars. Minus two for bad pricing decisions. Three stars. 🌟 🌟 🌟

  • Very clever and addictive.

This version of solitaire is extremely fun to play simply because it’s extraordinarily challenging!
I’m not a card wizard, but I always enjoyed solitaire for the challenge. This game definitely spices up the classic solitaire game by tweaking the layout, adding a second deck and throwing some history in the mix. If you like playing solitaire classic, you will like playing this game.

I haven’t bought the upgrade yet and it seems like you wouldn’t really have to if all you’re interested in is random shuffles instead of unlocking achievements.
    Cheers!

  • Not as hard as it seems

It is still quite a step up from the standard solitaire. Enjoyable and engaging.
  • Easy To Play

But hard to Win. Don't really know why I can't put 7's from the deck down keeps say Devils 6's?!!!
  • Cool game

    Very addictive.
