  • Not bad

Not a bad game. A lot of bugs. Would like to turn of animations etc. I’d also like to turn off how long the game takes. Will upgrade to five stars if glitches are fixed and in-app purchases aren’t so exxy.
  • Never, never, never give up!

Brilliant solitaire game, leaves Klondike for dead 😊❤️♠️♦️♣️
  • One big bug

So, happily enjoying this game, working through levels but from Lieutenant General and above the description pages for these levels say you are a “Major” then “Lieutenant Colonel” - levels I passed through much earlier, even though I’ve clearly reached these higher levels. Please fix, as they spoil the experience of an otherwise great solitaire game..
And I. Agree with another user: fix the rotation issues on iPad and iPhone.

    Developer Response

Hi BeentoBerlin - thanks for playing. Proceeds of the game go to charitable causes that support wounded military veterans and their families, and that advance the legacy and heritage of Winston Churchill.
  • Hooked

Bit hard to understand at first, but absolutely brilliant
  • Please fix syncing with other devices problem!!!

I love this app. I play it for hours on long overseas flights. Great way to intelligently pass the time. But it’s driving me crazy that all my successes played on my iPad or iPhone are not syncing with each other. They used to sync. I’ve tried everything, opening both apps at the same time while on WiFi doesn’t even work. It stopped syncing about 6 or 8 months ago, probably with one of your updates. So annoying because I don’t want to replay games I’ve already completed. Fix this bug and I’ll give the app 5 stars. Until then, it’s 1 star because this bug is ridiculous. Your QA people should test for this with every upgrade. Thanks for listening and looking forward to you fixing it!

  • Churchill Solitaire, indeed

I’m an avid player of traditional solitaire. Yes, I read some of the reviews and bit the $5 bullet to buy it. As others have said the buying of undo’s is absurd. Also the ‘random’ games don’t allow a winning hand, none that I’ve found anyway. I too won the easy & medium sample games, but not so with the purchased set. 16 Campaigns and countless random games and 0 wins. As often as I play real solitaire the odds are far different. I have the settings for difficult games and frequently win. Much work is needed on this, give us truly random deals rather than manipulated games and pretend that they aren’t. I’d get a refund if I could! Great potential but a let down. I’ll get my two decks of cards and play manually. I’m sure I’ll win a decent portion.

  • Almost good

I love the game but this app is not ready for prime time. Most of the “Easy” level games are extremely difficult. Although I won the Sample Easy game handily, I have only won two of the dozen or so paid Easy games. They have inherent challenges, such as the first reserve card being a queen, making it almost impossible to win.
Sometimes the screen rotation doesn’t work and you cannot finish the game. It would be nice if the screen view would adjust to show all the cards on the table without having to rotate, as that makes the cards extremely small.
Worst of all is you have to pay for undo’s! Really? You can rack up a lot of money just with hints and undos while you learn the game.
I really wish I could play this online so the screen size would be bigger, but it is only available for mobile devices.

  • Superb...but

    FIX THE ROTATION ISSUE.
To complete games you have to rotate into portrait mode which is fine from the gameplay point of view but EVERY SINGLE VERSION of the app the auto rotate (and the button to rotate doesn’t work) sometimes it does sometimes not.

It is an superb card game, that you keep coming back to. Brilliant apart from this fundamental flaw.

  • Disappointing

The game is fine and sort of addictive. But it is a poor value. The whole game is worth maybe $5 but they want to charge you for undos after you buy a deal pack. In fact I used all the available undos in the free trial, and they weren’t even restored when I bought the basic $5 pack. It is really hard to win, partly because there are often arbitrary choices - which 3 of clubs should I move, which order should I move - that can ruin your current play. At least there aren’t ads (after paying, I can’t remember if the trial has ads). So I don’t recommend this, there are games within Solebon and other solitaire games that are almost the same but don’t charge you for basic features.

  • Very buggy and seemingly abandoned

Not iPhone X compatible, doesn’t handle screen rotation properly, randomly crashes in background completely losing progress, undos alternately reverse order of cards dealt (requiring using 2x undos if you want to go back 1 deal of the cards while playing a game), the annoying video at the beginning plays every time you open the app, when the app awakes from background it often freezes requiring a force quit, the time to deal a new game takes way too long (especially considering how many times the app crashes forcing you to re-deal), when you go back to the main screen to use the store it randomly forgets the game you are in the middle of, and to top it all off, the game/hand selection screen has a horrible UI that requires way too many taps and swipes just to play a game.

    DO NOT PURCHASE!
