  • A great take on traditional solitaire

I’ll have to admit that I love this game. There is some skill in it but it is mostly down to the draw of the cards.

Whilst I love it there are a few of irritants.

    (1) After a length of playing the game stops you being able to place where your aces go in the top right.

    (2) It would be better if the top right pile categorised the various suits into propositioned positions thereby placing suits of a kind beside each other.

    (3) Whilst it is only occasionally, the length of the layouts can exceed the screen length thereby rendering the cards below the bottom card unseen. Not a biggie but it is when you think you’re finally going to win one!

    (4) Finally the Campaign mode. They’re all virtually unwinable. So why have them?

Other than that it’s a great game.

Oh and last point, I always play in portrait mode on the iPad. It would be handy were the opening menu screen able to rotate to match this.

  • Seven years and still compelling

I downloaded the first version of this when it launched. Years on and it remains my go-to brain teaser. I’ve solved 60% of the 500 (without cheats) and will get the rest if it kills me.
Thanks to The developers and to Donald Rumsfeld. Glad the income goes to a good cause.

I also lost all my previous games and scores. It is still a very good game

I find it quite difficult & rather frustrating. However, I am not giving up just yet.
  • Not Working Properly

This is a fun, addictive game that would've received a 4 to 5 star rating until very recently. Unfortunately, ever since updating to iOS 16.2, the app quits ridiculously constantly and no longer allows one to access the next game (should one be able to finish a game) because the graphics for that particular screen are jumbled/incomplete. One has to quit the app and start over in order to access a new game. Hoping these issues are resolved by the developer, of course. There is no way to pass on this information directly to them and no way of knowing if they read these postings.

  • No app support

I have played this game since day one. The first year or so went fine.... now the game has bugs and there is no one to help you. App support is non existent. I play around the bugs so I can finish the game.... but I am annoyed by it. Don’t really recommend. New subscription games have major bugs!! Never mind trying for a winning streak because when you successfully complete a game... doesn’t give you credit for it. On top of that.... it doesn’t show that you completed the game. Have had to play 3-4 games again to show they were completed successfully. Please fix. Not good for $30/month. Can’t figure out how to purchase ’hints’ or ‘undo’s ‘ after the recent Apple update mandating use of AssistiveTouch. Someone please help. Not hope-full though knowing the tech support of this game.

  • Great, BUT…

Churchhill Solitaire is an addictive and entertaining game! I have subscribed to the daily game for the past three years. I love it! However, there are a couple of bugs that are extremely frustrating. First, anytime you travel to a different part of the country you need to delete and re-download the game or it won’t deliver the daily game. Second, if you go back more than a month in the daily game, and you win, it won’t save the win. It’s crazy. for example, I just completed the July 5 game (one of two games in July I hadn’t finished), went back to check on my progress and the game is showing as a loss. My goal is to successfully complete every daily game for the year 2022. As a result, I find this extremely frustrating and I wish the developers would fix these errors.

  • Rip-off

Last October, I purchased a daily Churchill subscription which just expired, as did my access to the games I have not yet completed or attempted for the year, but I paid for the year, for 365 games, games that were available to return to no matter the month. I could start a new game or return to a game in July, for example, when the current game is a day in September. But since my subscription expired, so did my access to the games I had already PURCHASED. Words of advice. If you do not win each daily game, and if you fall behind because you are not married to this daily solitaire game, or you work, etc., well, expect the same. My experience may be yours.

  • GAME GONE

I have loved playing this game for several years! I accidentally deleted it - (I had 2 apps showing and hit remove by mistake) and now I cannot get the game back. When I download it from the App Store it pulls it from the “cloud” and then prompts me to open it. When I open it to play, the game never appears, just the javelin screen. That screen stays up for a few seconds and then closes and the desktop reappears. HELP!! I want this game back!

  • Too many hands where you have no chance

Challenging and difficult, which is fine, but there are too many hands where right from the outset it is clear you have no chance at all
