  • Relieved player

I love Churchill Solitaire! I recently deleted it by mistake and when I recovered it from the App Store it was unplayable. The symbols on the cards had become so small as to be unreadable. I was so disappointed, BUT today I discovered an option for the old big symbols, and also the old plain backs to the cards. (I revere Winston, but seeing dozens of pictures of his face on the back of the cards is much too distracting.) So happy - don’t even mind being demoted from prime minister to lowly peon.

  • Great game but..

Love this game and have spent many hours on it. I would give a 5 star review, but it seems incredibly unfair to expect players to pay for undos. Please fix this, when players have already paid for access to the levels!
  • Audio/Bluetooth interference

Been playing this game for years. It’s great, but over the last few month, whenever I open the app the audio I’m listening to through apple pods goes staticky. Weird bug. Please fix it.
  • Great Game... App, not so much

This app has not been updated for 11 mos. it still has the same infuriating bug it has always had... the longer you play it without rebooting your iPad, the more it will not play smoothly. This manifests itself in screen locks that last several seconds when you are trying to move a card. Clears up immediately when you reboot. If you don’t reboot and close the app, the freezes appear in other apps such as Mail. When typing an email the screen freezes for several seconds before you can proceed. Churchill is not coded efficiently. Apple support describes this very scenario indicating it is caused by using an inefficient app and that even when the app is closed it’s freezing affect remains in other apps until a reboot realigns every thing. I’m not going to quit playing this game because it’s a good game, but it blows me away that this app almost never gets an update.

  • Frustrating but fun

I am fixated on this game. I’ve upgraded several times and recently to Legend. In this new 300 series of games, the game unfortunately no longer records my scores. I also now realise there is an inordinate amount of chance involved, where an early move can have great ramifications that are unforeseeable.

Are all games winnable? I don’t think so.

It’s still fun to try though.

  • Something changed

I play this game every day but for some time, when you move a card (without release) to put it back in place (because we saw another identical card and that would be a better choice), it automatically takes the new place, even if you put it back to its original place. Everything to spend to buy “ undo ”.

  • Unhappy

I’ve happily been playing the first 300 levels for a few years, and the daily before they were a paid option, but I have now been locked out of every level, except the trial!! I was playing in the morning, and when I went to show my dad how well the game was made I was locked out of every level! Incredibly disappointing that I can no longer play, as it was one of my favourites

  • Like playing cards against someone who cheats.

This game is not fun. It is designed to deliberately frustrate players so they will buy hints and undos, don’t waste your money. 95% of the games can not be won. The six cards at the top are frequently dealt in an order that makes winning impossible. Since there are only two decks of cards in the game if the six include any three cards in the same suit in descending order from the top card you can not win the game. Checking these six cards is the first thing to look at before you even begin to play. Secondly if you get past that hurdle the cards are dealt to make winning a very unlikely outcome. The purpose of the game is to make money for the developers, remember that first and foremost. It could be a great game if every game was actually winnable if played skillfully, but that is not in the best interest of the developers. I have played this game a lot and have won over 1800 games, I know what I am saying is true. About 1% of the games are winnable, but it is still an ok time waster, the eye hand thing is satisfying, but calling it challenging is actually funny, that’s like a crossword with the wrong clues being called challenging. A game is only a challenge if there is a chance of winning, if it’s not winnable it’s just a scam.
Greedy, Greedy, shame on you developers. Churchill wouldn’t like his name being attached to such a shameful ruse.

  • Game does not work has significant bugs

After a number of ace placements the game will no longer accept ace placements for points. I have downloaded the game a number of times and the problem has repeated itself after a few games. I have also been a paying customer as I greatly enjoy the game.i have now been locked out of the. I can no longer download it. But I continue to be charged for the daily Churchill. I really enjoy the game but found that to avoid the first problem described that I would have to delete the game then reload it to my iPad from the App Store. I may have hit some limit to the number of downloads one can do.
