Quick & Efficient!
I’ve been using this service for almost a year now. I recently moved to another state and had to contact PP to change my address and contact info. I sent a message via the app over the weekend and expected to not get a reply until the next business day. To my surprise, I got a response Saturday evening! The process was quick and painless. Even when the USPS delayed my package 6+ months ago (I never got that package), PP quickly sent another package right away.

Ok, so I go to the gyno every year for a re-prescription of birth control and a Pap smear. I’ve had some health issues and have been in their office multiple times this year. However, if I want to be re-prescribed the same birth control that I’ve been on for years I would have to schedule yet another appointment with them. It’s really just a run around and a cash grab at this point. It was SO AMAZING to be able to do the birth control prescription online and with so little time and effort. It just took a questionnaire and all of a sudden I have my prescription set up for another year. I actually did the questionnaire while I was waiting in the car for my friend. Stupid easy. Great Experience, Fast, Easy and Great Staff
I had an in office check up at my local PP and my visit went amazing. The staff was so kind and knowledgeable. WAY more knowledgeable then any of my previous OBGYNs previously and they actually listened to my concerns I’ve been having for years and have given me viable options where I wasn’t getting help before.
Ive been hunting for a birth control option that works for me and was given a few options but that’s better than the zero options I was given before. I got all of the paperwork I needed to get me started on doing some research about which option I wanted to pursue and when I was ready I downloaded this app, and requested the specific one that was right for me. And within 24 hours I had a prescription and didn’t have to make a follow up in person appointment. It was a really nice convenience. My new birth control will arrive in a couple days. I got a 3 month supply to test and make sure I’m happy with it, then I’ll Plan to purchase for a year. I love that you have the option to pre order in bulk like that. I don’t have to worry about running to the pharmacy, comes right to my door.

Getting my birth control pills has never been so fast and easy. Simple answer a few health questions and a clinician will review your request. It’s $25 without insurance and $0 with insurance. They shipped 18 packs (12 months) supply straight to your address, no walk-in appointment needed. The clinician can message you through the app if they have any questions before choosing a birth control for you. Another convenient option to getting the help you need!
PP has been a lifesaver for me a few times, but this new PP Direct App really came through for me.
Woke up at 5 am and immediately recognized the sensation of an oncoming UTI. The COVID pandemic is still a present concern, but last time I had a UTI I was able to do a teleconference appointment and get an Rx right away.
To my dismay, all of the PP locations nearby are booked up—both in person and teleconference appts aren’t available until next week. Walk-in’s are an option, but I had a whole schedule planned for today..where am I going to find the time to sit around waiting to see someone?
PP Direct—THANK YOU. I installed this app, filled out my info and a questionnaire, and only a few hours later, the NP has gotten back to me and sent my prescription to my local pharmacy for me. Efficient and Informative
I’m just so impressed. I didn’t have insurance but needed birth control. I was able to chat with a doctor who evaluated my needs and answered all my questions. After the first brand gave me some side effects, I booked another chat and was pleasantly surprised to see that the same doctor stays with you. She prescribed a different brand, was very caring, and said to let her know if the new script was also giving side effects. I’m very grateful. Fast, easy, and incredibly helpful!
I never write app reviews, but I had such a fantastic experience with the PP Direct app today that I figured leaving a review was the least I could do! I’m moving and therefore currently between doctors, and couldn’t figure out a way to get a birth control refill without having to go through the hassle of doing an intake appointment with a doctor I’ll probably never see again. A friend suggested PP, and when I went to their website, I read about the app. Figured it couldn’t possibly be that easy, but decided to give it a try... and I’m so glad I did!
Filled out the questions, snapped a photo of my driver’s license, requested the specific pill I’ve been on for years, and designated the pharmacy down the street from me as my pickup location. Within a few hours I had a notification saying the prescription had been approved and sent to the pharmacy; I was charged a total of $25 (for the doctor to review my case and write the prescription; the pills themselves were free, though I know this varies by state).
Way faster, easier, and more convenient than any doctors appointment, and I still felt confident that I was receiving quality medical care - the questionnaire was thorough enough to catch any contraindications for the prescription, and they offered lots of educational materials as well. I first downloaded this app last year at the same time as Nurx because I ran out of health insurance and didn’t know which company I would like. I ended up choosing Nurx because it was cheaper but I quickly found out why. I had such a terrible experience with Nurx. They must not look into each individuals account because I wanted to change which pill I was taking and basically they told me I’m lying and sent me the same pill I didn’t like and charged me twice for it. I decided to see if I could restart my Planned Parenthood subscription and they literally made it so easy! They respond quickly to questions and are always super friendly. I don’t have an OB/GYN after switching insurance companies, and I was advised by friend that Planned Parenthood could help you get three months of birth control. The complete lockdown in California made it not convenient to try and find a new doctor. I searched the website on Planned Parenthood where they said I could download the app and have a provider prescribe me the birth control. I downloaded the app set up an account and request the birth control and brand I wanted. The next day I was contacted by a provider and and prescription was sent to my pharmacy of choice. Amazing Experience!
This app is amazing! The physician I spoke to really listened to what I needed and wanted, and was able to deliver exactly that in an extremely timely manner. The app is also designed very well and is super easy to use. I have insurance for the birth control itself, but I do know that the service was affordable and they offer very affordable birth control options if you don’t have insurance. Also while they offer mail delivered scripts, you don’t Have to get them mailed, which I really appreciate since I personally prefer getting my scripts from the pharmacy due to my apartments mail system not being the greatest.
