Buggy to the point of brokeness
The game is a lot of fun, but the recent updates made it very buggy, as other reviewers have noted. I tried to reinstall, and now it won’t update with any of the DLC from the past several years, all of which I have paid (handsomely) for. I would avoid until the bugs are fixed (hopefully we are working on that, eh?), unless you like throwing your money away.Show lessxabierkristof

If you like Civ, you’ll like this
I’ve seen reviews criticizing this app, it’s fine. If you have a device that can easily support it, you won’t have the issues they’re describing. I have an iPhone 13, and the game works just the same way it would on a console. If it gets glitchy, just save, close app, and relaunch. It doesn’t do it very often at all though. Plus you can play it anywhere with your phone. Multiplayer gets tedious, but if you don’t care about that like me, then single player is perfectly fine.Show lessYmca C-3
Latest update needs major work
In addition to all other comments saying same, the game cannot be reloaded. Extremely frustrating to play for hours only to end up in an endless loading loop. Fix it asap. Update - Developer’s comments incorrect. I am playing in iPad Pro with iPadOS 16.2

Recent update glitch
The recent update to Civ VI resulted in errors in many of the interactive menus. Instead of the expected dialog (eg upgrade choices for Governors, Emergencies, etc.) the window displays “LOC-xxxx” text that is probably the field label from the database instead of the correct dialog text. Please fix.

Fix the LOC_x error! Geez!
This is a great game. I regret downloading the Gathering Storm expansion because you’ll see various buttons and messages with “LOC_x” during the World Congress and diplomatic aspects of the game. This glitch really confusing for those of us who haven’t played this game before. It’s really unacceptable considering the cost of this game, plus the expansions are easily more than $50. Disappointed
Feeling under disappointed in the iPadOS version of a great game. First, the expansions are ridiculously expensive compared to other platforms. On my switch, I got everything on sale for $30. Even at full price w/ expansions, it’s no more than $60. To play that same game w/ expansions across autoplay here would be around $100.
What’s worse is the resolution of the port. It appears to be not even Retina screen compatible. With an M2 on my iPad, I was hoping to see this game shine.

Historically Fine, Now Broken Beyond Playability
This game has worked pretty well, with acceptable lag for how large it is and the hoops of porting it onto iOS. However, the patch from December 22 has made it unplayable. The variable XML tags are littered through it and it is impossible to play. There is no way of knowing how many great people points you or your opponents are generating, and many other game by game factors that can’t simply be looked up in the civilopedia like the missing descriptions of policies can.Show lessPirateJ85
Please fix this.
Since the Dec 2022 update It’s almost like they are actively trying to get people to stop playing this game. Barbarians randomly get severely overpowered like I just had a barbarian galley take out a city in 3 attacks with a slinger stationed and actively attacking the galley. Barbarian outposts will spawn an attack unit every turn sometimes. It’s like the programmers couldn’t figure out a way to make the game more challenging so they just make the AI cheat. A must have.
Whether your killing time, or taking time off this game is perfect for both scenarios. Not only will you be entertained. You will learn about other cultures. The music is soothing and the game refitting. Enjoy!Cyrax915Tx
