  • Can’t Even Register an Account

    Credit card validation required to create account, and their implementation requires “3D Secure” (which none of my American cards have) so I can’t even make a login. After each fail, it doesn’t even late you try a different card straight away. Instead it kicks you back to step 1 of creating an ID. The 3D Secure might not be their fault, but the workflow… So many user design flaws. I’d give it zero stars if I could, because it can’t do even one thing right.

  • Unusable

    I’m planning a trip to Japan soon and tried to create an account so I can use this app. Can’t make it past the credit card stage and makes me restart from the beginning every time. They should make the credit card stage the first step. Better yet, they should just make a usable app or don’t offer it on the American/International app stores. Deleting the app now.

  • Start over from the beginning

    Bummer. This app sounds great but after several attempts with several different credit cards, I’m unable to get one past verification. I’ve been traveling for 7 months and even the most undeveloped locations have figured how to process my cards. Hopefully the developers of this app read user feedback and the product manager prioritizes getting basic user signup right.

  • Worse app in the world

    This app wins the game as the worse app in the App Store. You try to sign up and if it doesn’t accept your card it ask you to start over from scratch. But now the problem is it doesn’t even let you try to sign up again. It shows an error “The system will automatically logout to ensure safety if it is not operated for a certain period of time” and won’t let you do anything else.

    This whole app was developed by an intern. It’s crazy how bad it is. You should be ashamed of the poor design choices you made.

  • Doesn’t work

    I have no idea how the person in charge of this app was hired. Please fire your developer, hire someone competent, and fix this app. It flatly does not work. You will set up an account by following the instructions and something always go wrong, from log in, to credit card set up, that prevents you from succeeding. Maybe they fear this app will result in the loss of too many ticket counter jobs? By having the app fail they can prove that the ticket counter jobs are still necessary. Either way, it’s a total disaster and an embarrassment for the company.

  • What waist of time

    I’m going to Japan and planning to travel all over Japan by train. When I tried to register, it did not even let me register because it said my credit card was invalid. I had been using this visa card to book all my hotels, attractions, and other transportations. I tired to multiple times but still didn’t work. What a waste of time! If it worked, would be a great tool.

  • Completely non-functional

    Currently in Japan and even then it doesn’t work. It’s such a poorly designed app, I’m unsure why it was even released. Forcing you to give them your credit card info during sign up is absurd. You can’t even check a price without logging in. Good luck even getting to that point. The whole sign up system is so flawed, it doesn’t work at all.

  • Does not take any credit card I tried

    Does not take any credit card I tried. This frustrates me to no end. I would like buy my tickets online. Nothing wrong with the cards. Bank said transaction when even received by their system. This includes Chase, Apple and Citibank. Geez fit the application so it works correctly.
  • Gave Up and Deleted

    After two attempts to register on the website and another two on the app I gave up. I get as far as the credit card authorization only to have it fail and force you to start over.

    When I go to Japan I’ll just buy tickets at the station because this system is awful.
  • Can’t register as a new member

    I downloaded the app believing that it would be very useful to book JR tickets and reservations. Sadly this was an imaginary thoughts. I tried every possibility to register under “ member registration”, it didn’t work. Others mentioned foreign credit cards issues. I didn’t even made it that far. Poor algorithm and dead links. Please improve and test before posting on AppStore. Thank you.
