So much more than I expected
I purchased their 5 meter led string light after watching a YT video. Only knowing it was compatible with HomeKit without a hub or hassle. Tada, it is TRUE! Wa so easy to add to my home and integrate to my automations. I then looked up if it has an app for the product. And it does!! (Surprise 😂) The app immediately downloaded and installed a firmware update in a minute and then I saw all the functions for the light. Absolutely blew my mind all this is available for such a cheap string light. Only impressed here.Show lessaleryd85
Feature set and reliability +
Just needs a fresh gui. Lose the green. Allow more customizations with icons, colors, emoji in names. Do the m110 outlets have BT radio so if Wi-Fi was down you could “manually” turn on remotely via the HomeHub Bluetooth connectivity provided by a local Apple TV or HomePod? It’d probably be a great “+” or “pro” feature if not— provided that plus or pro feature didn’t double the costs or anything more significant than like $6 or $7. Id replace all my outlets tomorrow for that ability.Show lessJChrisMills
Amateur app
The app is horrible, not that is a big issue as I just use the home app, but when accessories don’t respond I come here and there’s never any useful info, for eg contact sensor offline, is it the battery? Who knows.. the app says power cycle the device, but no explanation provided on how to do such thing. Also firmware updates, I don’t think there’s ever been one since I bought my devices almost 2 years now, the app just says “it was updated to last version” instantly, clearly not checking anything. Will also prompt you to sync time when clock changes? in general most smart home devices are just terrible but haven’t had issues with de actual devices and that’s what matters.Show lessjamon8
I wish I purchased Nanoleaf smart bulbs instead
This iOS app is so mediocre but gets the very minimal job done. I wish I had purchased Nanoleaf smart bulbs instead of VOCOlinc smart bulbs simply because of the difference in the mobile app experience.
Dev Request: The Nanoleaf app allows the user to create new Scenes and Automations easily as well as download premade Scenes from a Library of different effects. The VOCOlinc app would be way more useful if it had any additional features like a Scene Library to download from.Show lesslndsyydn
Really needs work.
Received a brand new VH1 hardware, and the app provides only the instructions that are included in the box. No additional troubleshooting or information on filling the device is provided
My hardware appears to have issues out of the box, the app reports the device is “out of water” but does not give ANY additional information.
Disappointed and confused and trying to receive help, but so far nothing I’ve don’t has resolved the issue.Show lessBroHanzo
I found lot of small issues
I found lot of small issues with the app. I have three lightbulbs and one standing light tube but when I try to synchronize the effects they are all playing with different delays so it’s kind of weird and I don’t think I can fix this in any way.
I have all 4 devices with the latest firmware too.
My other issue is that I would like to set a timer so the light gradually turns off when going to sleep and on when waking up. I couldn’t find an option for this.Show lessDiegoTrazzi
Great lights
The app isn’t half bad. Lots of options even if the interface is a it ugly. Also, Pretty good lights especially for the price. They’re are all of one or two features that his offers over Vocolinc, but Vocolinc is so much less expensive and the quality is the same and ease of use is the same. YMMV but I have about 80 home devices and a bunch of Vocolinc stuff now and they are 100% reliable and awesome.Show less0r3
