    I figured I’d try the app again after bailing on it years back. Now instead of simply bad camera settings the whole thing is automated, or you can send who knows who on the other end a video of your ids and they’ll do it for you. PASS. For the type of app any action performed automatically should have the option to be performed manually or uploaded. Try again next time with a real user interface not a user exemption.

Regarding to the document capturing bad quality, of course, you need to create all the necessary conditions for capturing, such as proper lighting, correct placement of the yellow recognition frame, and so on. Please, contact us at support@folio.id and we will give you some useful tips for document capturing.
  • Would benefit from a manual photo mode…

    App is great and it does what it’s supposed to do. But having to retake the photo again and again because the app snaps the shot incorrectly is annoying. The app would benefit from allowing the user to take the snap themselves when the card is aligned. 5 star app if this feature is added.
  • Missing options

    I just downloaded the App but I am not seeing all the category options shown in your images. I don’t see anywhere for health/medical card info and I also don’t see the gift card or loyalty card option. Will update rating when I’m able to see all the different options shown in the App Store images
  • Update additional comments Cannot create a group

    The developer finally did respond.
    Said they are working still on an update to match the screen shots they already show.

    Found a different app that does exactly what I wanted Folio app to do. Create different subject folders for different types of cards, then create sub-folders within a group. Example
    Insurance
    Medical
    Dental
    Eye
    Husband / Wife
    Each person has a unique ID card and wanted to easily find them fast when needed. Not scroll through the OTHER bin searching for the card requested at the dentists office !

    Unfortunately Folio failed to deliver to its screen shots. That’s why DELETED the app. Maybe it will work for other users. It just did NOT work for me. Was promising though.

    This app only has group called OTHER IF YOU DONT pick ID card or Bank Card the only other option is OTHER ! User cannot rename Other, cannot create a new group at all. This is a first review so if the developer would please advise how to edit user group name Other it would be 5 stars. I want to add several different new groups JUST LIKE YOUR first screen in the App Store shows ! If that cannot be done then it’s only a 1- Star app !

Now, sharing documents with friends and family, or creating shared folders for trip planning, household paperwork management, and more, is simpler than ever. Additionally, you can now assign Labels with different colors, allowing you to tag your cards and documents for seamless organization.
  • Great with some photo taking flaws

    Most flexible of the wallet products but the one thing that annoys me is the need for the app to take the picture automatically (when it judges the card is in frame) versus me taking the button myself. Source of much frustration! I have to build a little tower to hold the camera still and for the app to take the pic.

  • One annoying bug

    With share option using email, selecting front and back of ID card, only one side, in duplicate, will send. Is possible to send card front and back in two single image emails but who wants to do that when you have 3 cards to transmit at every health care visit??!
  • NOT WORTH THE TIME

    I took one full day out of my important time with no success. Almost all my credit cards have their numbers on the back it it will not work with them. I have perfect photos of all my cards & important information yet no matter what light I used over a full day I was never able to get the app to take a good photo. This includes all credit cards, my passport & visa card, plus all my member cards. I wasted a full day all because the app does not take photos even close to being good plus not accepting my new passport or 6 month old drivers license which my other app did immediately.
    With my new IPhone with its Notes, Wallet & a much better app I was able to do the same thing especially with perfect photos of all my important cards & ID’s. The person that told me about the app also could not get his new passport or drivers license to work as well.

    I think you should have the option to accèss this with pin only as a security feature due to people being spiked then accessing there apps on phones while they are totally out of it .
  • Almost perfect but…

    If I want to move a card from one section to another, I can’t. I’d have to delete the card and then retake the picture and go through alllllll the steps again when this should be super easy implementation for a super user friendly feature
  • Very Convenient

    I use this app quite frequently, and have been happily surprised that so many of my affiliated agencies accept the digital version of my ID.
