New update
The good: now supports landscape mode on iPad. Licenses from Gemini Photos persist in new version (ie the update does not seek to convert previous paid app purchasers into subscribers, unlike many other apps have done). Incidentally, that rather important information should be in the app description, or the website FAQ. I had to email support.
The bad: the most useful function; finding and easily swiping between “similars” (photos taken at the same time/place) is not as convenient as in Gemini. It requires rescans every time, and swiping between photos is not implemented as well. Keep updating please, with a particular focus on the easy deleting of “similars”.Show lessMichael There

Please for the love of God roll back this update. We went from one of the best apps available on the App Store in Gemini, to this rubbish skin of clean my Mac. I can’t use it to manage my photos any more without fear of losing far too much data. I don’t think I have ever been more disappointed in an update. The number of glitches this app creates when selecting photos or trying to select photos mean, you never know if you’ve selected the right item for deletion. scanning the photo library now. This is very long time consuming task. I can no longer easily say photos, grouped into months or years, and I spent ages digging around the app to try and locate them. I am shopping around now looking for a replacement after being a subscriber for many years.Show lessShauny2807
Good app but still some bugs
The app is great for decluttering, finding similar photos and removing the one you want. You can sort by size which is great. Would love to have this for videos as well now!
There are still bugs that are very dangerous as you could delete photos that aren’t the one you selected. Sometimes it just shows you the previous picture rather than the actual photo.
Also not sure why there’s a speed test in a cleaning app… completely unrelated, they should focus on improving the rest which is what we all want.Show lessalexmngn
New app completely removes Gemini’s most important features
I was really excited to try the new revamped app until I opened it up and learned everything about Gemini is gone. This is just CleanMyMac but for iPhone. I need to be able to delete similar photos and duplicates, and to see everything by year and month chronologically. All of that was easily possible in the old app and none of it is possible now. This app doesn’t help you streamline your camera roll at all.
The new app is sterile, ugly and missing everything that made me choose to get a lifetime membership to Gemini. I want a refund.Show less777SJ
The most amazing app
I have told every single person I know about this app. It’s amazing - if you are wanting to purge your phone this is absolutely the app for you. I am not exaggerating when I say I have deleted thousands of pictures. The “similar” feature is by far the best part - though I would highly recommend going through each set of pictures manually so you don’t miss anything you’d want to keep. This is absolutely worth the price and I’ll up my subscription each year for sure. A must have for moms who take far too many pictures of your kiddos. Also great for purging wedding pictures or anything that you just don’t need five slightly different pictures of the same things.
A note to developers it would be so cool if the app kept track of how many pics you’ve deleted over time - my husband gives me so much crap about how often I recommend this app to people and I’d love to be able to brag about how many pictures I’ve been able to delete.

Don't! buy!
Delete your "WHOLE" Pic Library. I didnt realize that this app captures all pictures every where. As they com in from email, etc. I saw this app accumulation and did not want another app sorting my pics yet another way. So I deleted them from the categories but still a bunch remained. So I saw the Delete Library option and hit that. Worked. No pics in app. I go to my Apple pictures and I don't have any at all. It deleted everything "Across Apps". This should NOT have the power to just delete your whole Apple Library without even signing into your Apple account or verifying your identity. Like every other app has to before it can alter your Apple account. I don't care if I am or am not able to retrieve them. That isn't the point. What a lot of my wasted time undeleting what I didn't want deleted. And I was charged a subscription price. I didn't ask for a subscription and my views on the situation on whats going on with the Ukrane doesnt effect what I buy. And furthermore - Are no ones buisness. I want a refund!Show lessZ0eymae
Do not waste your money
I had 7700 pictures on my iPhone. I am the type of person who takes about 10 pictures to get the best one. So I purchased this app so that I wouldn’t have to go through all of those pictures individually to get rid of most of them. However, the mechanics and instruction of this app are so bad that I could not figure out (after going through all of the screenshots and duplicates and eliminating the ones I didn’t want in the app), how to actually get them to delete off of my phone. 🤷🏼♀️ So after two days of trying to figure this out, I finally selected the option to “delete photo library”, thinking that would delete what I had selected to get rid of, BECAUSE I HAD TRIED EVERYTHING ELSE. Nope, it deleted the entire photo library off of my phone. Thank God for Google Photos. As I still have my photos backed up there. I am not a stupid person. I have a MBA and I was valedictorian of my high school class. It is just that the instructions in this app are so bad and incomplete, but it’s clearly just a money grab. Not perfect, but pretty close
I’ve tried several photo library clean up tools, and this is far and away the best and easiest I’ve tried between its easy interface, intuitive categories, and detection of similar pictures.
On this last point, the similar detection is good but with lots of room for improvement. It often flags pictures of different people in the same setting as similar, which is not really what most people mean by potential duplicate photos. The automatic selection of a best option in a group is handy and works well with 2-3 truly similar pictures. But you really do have to review any larger sets manually. Fortunately, the app makes this easy and fast to do.
I am a little baffled why some of the cleanup categories don’t allow you to explicitly keep pictures, but keeps photos you want to hang onto in those buckets seemingly forever. It would be nice to see that little inconsistency addressed in an update.Show lessjrothstein
Amazing app, very easy to use, great small features
I never write app reviews (this is my first) but this app is amazing. I had over 32k photos from the past several years and I deleted a total of 6.5k in the end. The app did an amazing job of combining similar photos and suggesting which is the best photo to keep. A lot of the time I took it’s suggestion. The app even grouped the photos by month so I could easily skip around. Very easy to actually delete the photos and they end up in your phone delete folder so you have 30 days to change your mind and recover the photo if you want. This app is a dream. I was able to do this all in the three day trial period (several hours per day!). So glad to get this huge task off my plateShow lessblueblueberryxyz
ESSENTIAL
Honestly this app is the ONLY way I can keep on top of my ever growing photo library. Without it I would be paying for a 500 TB Apple iCloud subscription 🤣Misssssd
