Great product. Bad subscription.
Once or twice a year, I try to clear out my unnecessary photos from the photos app. Every time, I make it no more 10 minutes before I quit out of frustration and accept the fact that I’ll have junk photos, videos, and screenshots stored with the rest of my photos for life. Gemini solves this issue.
I think I spent probably a solid 30-45 minutes yesterday decluttering my photo collection. I know that sounds rough, but I cleared thousands of unnecessary files - something that would have previously taken numerous hours. Not only that, they almost make this process fun with swiping your photos to the keep pile or the trash pile. The way the app organized groups of photos was phenomenal - sometimes I’ll take 20 photos to get that 1 good one. With this app, I’m able to delete the other 19 in one tap.
What I absolutely loathe about this app is the subscription model. I’m beating a dead horse here, but this is a product that we should be able to pay for once. With how great it is, I’d easily pay $20 for this app and keep it for life. Unfortunately, that’s not an option. Thankfully, because of the its efficiency, I was able to cancel the subscription before my trial expired all while successfully decluttering my phone.Show less5coot
It’s ok but seems a bit glitchy, might be me.
Seem quite quick and easy but now I’m having to keep stopping the app and restarting it, I’ve just updated the app that doesn’t seem to have changed it, could just be me, but I don’t think so. It worked really well to start off, but now seems to slow down, obviously you have to review your photos because you don’t wanna get rid of everything! Potential is there but needs a little bit more refining.

What it does, it does well. Shows videos, but can’t do anything with them. If it’s a feature not available on free version, that’s fine but it should say so.AuroraVyran
Not as good as I’d hoped
Found it rather glitchy. Keep having to open and close. Every now and then it just deletes the previous scan and starts all over again. Under the similar banner it’s grouping photos that aren’t very similar so need to go through each group one by one. With 45k photos, it takes forever. Eating up battery fast too. Time saver
Wow what a time saver. Was really dreading going through my 43,000 photos and Gemini helps with the decision making of which ones to keep and delete.
I am sorting through photos for one main reason of trying to find photos of a specific place.
Is it possible to set up the option to sort through certain smart albums on an iPhone? E.g my priority is to sort through photos of my business in a certain location.Show lesssvogels03

Not useful at all just ended up paying more for storage and they took a fee EVEN THOUGH I 110% cancelled before my free trial ended and when I emailed support they said they couldn’t do anything about it.skdudi

As per title, photos deleted in Gemini are still in the apple Photo app (thus, they're not actually being deleted). Otherwise, this app would have been rated 5/5.Fritzy Fred

When I first downloaded this app it automatically tagged duplicate photos for deletion. And allowed you to just select “delete all duplicate” tagged/checked photos to be deleted.
When I chose that button it took me to the subscribe screen which I singed up for a one year subscription. but when I went back after subscribing for a year the app no longer automatically checked duplicate photos. The only way to delete them was to look at each and every set of duplicate photos and manually check the box for the ones you wanted to delete. One set at a time! Which is extremely time consuming and something I wish to remain automated. They also say you can cancel your subscription anytime… So I canceled. However canceling just means they won’t renew your subscription at the end of its time. So I won’t get my $12 back but will have access to a useless app for a year.Show lessGreg-romans 12

I just spent almost two hours selecting duplicates, only for it to not delete them unless i paid $5 for this. I didn't want that time to have gone to waste, so I paid it. "It's ok, as long as it works, it'll be worth it!"
Well, in the end, the app selected 300 OTHER photos that I hadnt selected at all to delete, and didnt allow me to review the selected photos. I deleted them, and went to check my recently deleted photos in my gallery, and not a single one of the photos i spent two hours selecting had been deleted. They were literally all random photos from last year or something. I tried deleting one single recent photo as a test, and then it said it had 180 photos selected (mind you, I deselected them before I did that, of course).
I'm infuriated. I paid $5 to become enraged. I'm never EVER paying for one of these apps without being verbally recommended again. I wish I could have my stupid $5 returned, just for the principle of it.Show lessIsa IC

I went from having over half of my phone storage taken up by photos that I didn’t need (screen shots of old receipts, old directions, pictures of exes) to about a third. This app is like the Marie Kondo of your photos, clear out any photos that don’t spark joy!SnoozySal
