  • email integration.

    realizing this is chat app, It doesn’t seem to make sense that an email sent from the email attached to contact us on the website wouldn’t 1. get a notification of receipt and 2. they aren’t logged in the customer’s profile.
    maybe it shouldn’t be called inbox but rather chat.
  • Pretty good except for integration

    This is a perfectly adequate messaging app with all the standard features and a nice interface. However, when it comes to integrations it leaves MUCH to be desired. The notifications will not go away, badges stay on the app icon, and if you're already communicating with customers via social media it does nothing but cause extra hassle.

    Download the app, but if you value your time don't integrate it with ANYTHING

  • Love Letter To My Soul!

    When I received my order from Minding My Glow, I was so excited that I forgot to do an unboxing video 😂. When I opened my boxes, I felt like it was a love letter to my soul! Every scent awakened a sense that I may have forgotten. The products drew me into myself, and I can be and do exactly what this brand says, ”Minding My Glow”. It’s a whole vibe! ❤️

  • Constantly Shows 1 Notification

    I have opened everything in the app and to no avail that notification on the app shows I have ONE something not read/complete. And since it is in the folder with my other selling apps I’m not sure if it’s a new message, sale, or what!! I have closed the one chat in my app and still nothing. It’s quite annoying especially if I rely on the apps to alert me - sometimes I’ll miss a ping sound but I won’t miss the number notification. Make it stop!!!! 😣

  • Great overall, but needs availability schedule

    I love this chat box. It is super easy to use. It stores all of a customers chap history. The notifications work great for me. I love how easy it is to link a product from you site into the chat. I’m honestly surprised it is a free option from Shopify. It is a great value add to my website

    This is a 5 star app EXCEPT, they need to install an availability schedule. The only way I can figure out how to do it currently is to manually switch it to “away”. First, it’s annoying this has to be done manually. And secondly, the customer still thinks your chat is active until they send you a message. This is a bad customer experience. The ability to schedule when the chat is active on the website would make this chat box perfect!

A clear, live-chat availability schedule would be nice to have, so I'll pas that feedback along to the Inbox Team so they can look into adding something like that in the future. In the meantime, you can try using Inbox's 'follow-up' messages to establishing live-chat expectations, or you can create your own availability schedule and add it to your 'Contact Us' page or even the footer on your website!   • Had I known!

    If I could give 10 stars I would! only since putting the app on my phone!

    Prior to putting it on my phone I would’ve given it a one star, or even a .5 star! I wish I would’ve known that there was a Phone app … my customers did not get good timely service last year.

    Now since having the app on my phone , where I can do text talk … I can stay in touch with my customers, while being away from my computer, (so I can actually get work done ) yep, it has made all the difference in the world!

  • First Time Using Shopify Inbox

    Hello!

    So last week I’ve have been informed by Shopify that they have came up with a new invention to help customers get all their questions answered as they are shopping in stores called Shopify Inbox. I’ve taken the time to download it just to see what all the hype is about and so far so good, i like it.
    .
    It gives me the options to add my own Most Commonly Asked Questions that customers would typically ask when it came down to it
    .
    The other thing I like is when it keeps track of all the conversations from each customer to pick up where they last left off.
    .
    Another great feature i thought was interesting is when they have space for the store owner to write down notes that other staff members can’t see unless they have permission.
    .
    Lastly the customization was my favorite part of the app I had the option to choose Let’s Chat or the typical message button

    I’m still learning the app since I haven’t had it very long so more updates on the way!

  • Desperately needs a search function

    I enjoyed this free app especially when I was able to text our customers offline messages instead of emailing them. But my biggest complaint is that it lacks a search function - and it’s very hard to find old chats with past customers. Please add this feature!
  • Attracts total garbage

    If you really want to turn your business into a waking nightmare- integrate this app into your store. You’ll find that the only people who try to contact you via this are total sociopaths or just pranksters. You may even get the occasional stalker. It is completely and absolutely unnecessary unless you’ve designed a site so bad that it needs instant feedback from a debugger who can message you instantly which, again, pointless. Post your email address visibly on your page so that people can reach you that way. Otherwise you are only adding something that will irritate you and not lead to any kind of sale 9/10 times. Not worth it at all.

  • Shopify Inbox

    Once I figured out how to pay attention to this, I found it helpful. Customers now a days prefer to type rather than call so it gives people quick answers. Also, I appreciate being able to list a few typical big picture questions and answers, that they wouldn’t necessarily see on my site.
