Inconvenient
Most difficult time w/ app, but of course with Equifax or the other two; would you expect anything else! Why put out an app when in all reality when these credit agencies love having the power and control over people’s lively hood/future. That’s why one has to jump through many tight hoops just to try and get false information removed!

Had it 5 years and it works every time.
Been using it for 5 years. Both me and my wife. Always works. Simple lock or unlock. Ours are locked til we need a new card or phone. The other 2 credit reporting freezes can be a pain if you forgot your PIN number. This App always works for me and her!
Exactly what one needs
App works as it should. There may have been issues with password not being recognized at earlier times but it worked just fine now. I created my long in on their website lock and alert download the app and i was able to log in.
Terrible
Same exact issue as all of the other one stars. Don’t believe the nice response of the developer they are well aware of the issues, probably done with its “design” and are no longer being paid to update it. Do not use this app. you’ll regret it. Will be canceling my equifax subscription tomorrow. It’s 2022 folks get with it. There is no reason for an iOS app to be this dysfunctional. Not with what the budgets and income of a company this size has. Move on folks nothing to see here be on your way to experience and transunion who have actually invested in their apps !

The very worst app
DO NOT GET THIS CRAP. I had been using this app for years and it worked GREAT! Recently I ATTEMPTED to open the app in order to unlock my credit report, but the app decided to log me out. I entered my CORRECT log in credentials at least 5x, until the app completely locked me out. The next day I called Equifax customer service in an attempt to get the matter resolved. But, after spending 5 minutes with their stupid automated system which asked me all sorts of questions other that the nuclear launch codes in order to verify me, it finally transferred me to an agent that was dumber than sand who did absolutely nothing, who finally transferred me to someone who was supposed to help me. I don’t know if that person is any better than the original idiot because after waiting for 5 minutes listening to their recorded music, no one answered the phone so I hung up. BOTTOM LINE: Don’t download this crap and get another app that can work. Equifax is not going to give me back the 30 minutes of my life that they took while they absolute nothing.

Absolute frustration!!
Every time I use the app I cannot login because it does not recognize my credentials. I am absolutely certain my credentials are correct as I have had to call Equifax multiple times because the password reset link doesn’t work either. This is a complete joke for a company with the size and money that they have. They obviously are in it for the money and could not care less for their customers on our level. After reading other reviews, this had been going on literally for YEARS. What a joke. FIX YOUR GARRBAGE APP!!!!

Total Crap
Your online Equifax ID/password combo is DIFFERENT than what you must create to use this app! So two different sets of credentials to access the same company and information. It’s no surprise Equifax suffered one of the biggest data breaches in history (164 MILLION private records exposed in 2017)! They don’t know what they are doing!
Signing up for an account is also flawed as the web page it loads within the app to go through that process has a big alert at the top of the page that my browser is not supported! My iPhone is only about a month old! Either Equifax isn’t keeping up with the latest versions and patches or their app programmers aren’t updating the app sufficiently.
Equifax remains as nothing more than a necessary evil. Deleting the app and asking any potential future creditors to check my worth using either Transunion or Experian.

Horrible Customer Service
My husband signed up for this and used it to kick his account. Unfortunately, he used a work email and has since switched jobs. Can’t remember the password and now can’t get the reset email. We got locked out trying diff passwords, and the app gives the Equifax customer service number. Yet after FIVE tries, no one at Equifax seems to understand how to reset Lock & Alert, their own product. It’s infuriating, and we still don’t have access.

The worst app…
I normally don’t write any review but this app is useless. I had the same issue with others about unable to use the same login as Equifax website. I read the review and thought it’s ok I can just sign up and have another account so I can lock and unlock my credit report. After signing up and allowing Face ID, this app still wanted me to verify that I am not a bot.. this doesn’t make sense because normally the Face ID logs user right in. So it got a little error because I didn’t click to verify that I was not a bot. I had to make sure I quickly clicked to verify that I was not a bot. The worst part after that is there is nowhere I this app I could lock or unlock… it only shows I freeze my credit report. Useless app. Not sure it is just a temporary things while they are trying to fix the issues or it is just built to show the status… wasting my time signing up for it.
I saw the developer response and it seems they didn’t understand the issue. There was no option to lock or unlock in the app. That is why this app is useless.
