  • Love this app

I researched apps that were user friendly for the not so computer literate. This app is so perfect. I put it on my phone also my cousins. She is the one with IBS but it helps to have someone to talk to about this. So I try to help.
  • Very helpful

Really useful tool to help me eat low FODMAP. Great range of foods covered. Thanks to the developers for making this available.
  • A great help

For straight forward yes and no on the low fodmap diet without all the fuss
I’m so glad I picked this app as Iv heard so many bad things about the others making you pay more for extra information.
Simple when shopping quick and easy, a real life (bowel) saver πŸ˜‚
  • Handy

Needs some UI work, but I’m happy with it.
  • Very helpful!

I was told by my GI doctor to try the low FODMAP diet to help IBS with little explanation. This app has really helped me when I need to know about a food quickly!
  • Suggestion

Can you please add a feature that allows the user to edited the food if they are not allergic. Example some items agree with me I would like to be able to change them to green.

    Developer Response

You can tailor the food ratings once you know your FODMAP sensitivities and what you can tolerate. To do this go to Menu -> FODMAP sensitivity and follow the options on screen. Thanks for your review!
  • Offers worst case scenarios

A food might show up as not ok but a closer look shows smaller servings will do. I guess a user could memorize the workable food; can't label or sort them. Pity, that. Really, there's not so much reason to worry unless you really can't afford the $8 for Monash University's FODMAP app (it is a bit pricey, isn't it? I'd forgotten how much I'd spent) There's good and bad lists online, the nutritionist should give you information, UM University of Michigan has a Pinterest with specific brands.

It all points to the stupidity of "I'll just go gluten and dairy free; that'll help", doesn't it?

Thanks for your review. The main screen of the app shows the rating of the food based on a typical serving size. That is for an at-a-glance view to help you quickly assess it. You are correct that when you press on a food, the detailed view shows whether a smaller portion size is OK or not. Hope this helps!
  • Life changing

I’ve been in a really horrible place not knowing what’s wrong with me for 2 years or more and the FODMAP App is changing my life everyday.
I am so hopeful and free.
    Thank you
    Keep up the amazing work
    Life changing.
  • No-fuss, easy to use

Speedy way to look up FODMAP levels.

    Suggestions:

1.) Allow users to add their own entries to their list. For example, crab is not listed. A quick google search shows that crab is low FODMAP. Users should then be able to create a crab entry in their app. This would also apply for foods that contain lots of ingredients. For example, a user might want to record a specific brand/flavor of bread that is reliably low FODMAP.

2.) An icon that shows the color status is dependent on serving size. For example, wheat pasta shows as red but if you click it, it shows that a half cup is green but a whole cup is red.

Thanks for your very detailed review. At the moment the app is kept purposefully very simple - only showing foods that have been tested by credible sources, and make it really easy to browse/search/filter. Your feedback will be taken on board as we want to revamp the app in the coming months. Thanks!
  • Great app

I’ve recently been diagnosed with diverticulitis and have used the app to help decide which foods to eat. This app has helped make decisions and has been a wonderful tool to help get me back on track. It is easy to use and has improved my quality of life!
