Three days after I started the FODMAP diet I realised that I was improving. That was 2012 or 2013. My second colonoscopy and gastroscopy showed l had microscopic colitis and GAVE. I do lapse from the diet regularly and deserve the resulting symptoms. Sometimes I still get caught unaware. Being in an easy to look at index means that I can check any foods that are not usually eaten or foods l am not keen on. My husband eats basically what I eat these days. I am still fat but he has lost weight which is good for him because he has a cardiac history.Show lessStill learning
