If you’d like to continue throwing $ down the drain…

100% agreed with all other reviews. Hence this is the first app review I write. I’m the one to blame however that month after month I continue paying for this system; the app never works although I pay the extra fee for this function specifically. I attempt to activate the alarm from the app while sitting 2 feet away from the panel and the Wi-Fi router and it still doesn’t function due to “network connection error.” The worst is when you attempt it multiple times, it then activates 30 minutes later when you think it didn’t go through, which can trigger the alarm. Completely unreliable. After almost 2 years with the system, we’ve actually had it armed less then 10 times because I never know if it will function or trigger false alarms when I don’t know it’s on.

Why is this company even in existance?

Terrible App

I realized I was initially paying for this app and the Kami app but had always used Kami to view my camera action. Decided to drop Kami and stick with one app, cove, which was less inexpensive anyway. Well, you get what you pay for. The time it takes my apps to refresh when I get an alert is ridiculous. If there was danger, the act would be committed and the perpetrator out of sight. Same settings with Kami but this ones drains the battery so fast. This is going to be the third time I have to charge this year. I only had to charge one time in a year with Kami. Also, the company started using different cameras and software and has no plan to switch me over without me having to purchase a new set of cameras. You just cannot do as many things with this app and doesn’t work as well as it should or could.

Great system for us investors

We’ve been using Cove for years now. We do have the basic system & love it. We purchased 1 systems & put it on every home while it gets rented out. The availability to just move it from one property to the next is priceless. After we set it up in a new property, we call Cove with the new address & they know exactly who to call for emergencies. My only thing with Cove is that I can not turn on & off the system thru the app. Hopefully this will be added soon.

Good but not great

I’m likening cove so far. The app does need a major rework. It’s needs to be faster and less laggy. Camera load times should not take forever since the end user should be able to see the feed almost instantaneously. Also, there’s a notification marker that has not gone away indicating that I have “1” notification when in fact I do not. I’ve clicked every single menu option to try and get rid of it and even uninstalled and reinstalled the app with no success. All in all, the security system is great where the app is really bogging down the true success of the overall security system. So much potential for improvement. I only hope that the CX, UX and dev teams are looking at these reviews to ensure that the product meets the end users needs.

Also, the external eufy cameras should be directly built into the app by now. More automatio/routine features would be nice so that we can program certain things to work without setting alarms off all the time. Anywho, giving the app a solid 3/5 until improvements are made.

App does not work

I’ve had Cove Security for the last 3 years and have had no issues. However, over the last month or so, my app has stopped working. It constantly gives me errors, tells me my doors are open (they are closed), and refuses to allow me to set my alarm. It always tells me that there is “no connection,” despite the fact that my panel works fine. Has this company given up on their app? Other reviews seem to signal that this is a widespread issue. Why has it not been addressed? I, along with Cove’s other customers, require a fully-functioning security system. Please fix this non-functional app.

Alarm is ok, App is not ready for prime time

Went with Cove on recommendation, and wished I hadn’t. While the alarm works ok (there are issues that others talk about); the app just plain doesn’t work close to well. Won’t connect, won’t disarm, shows armed or disarmed when in fact it is something else. Customer service is as expected from a internet company. Hung up on them several times after trying to explain the situation. I refuse to blame it on a language issue; they don’t know their product.

Not sure how much longer I will use.

Not Worth the Risk

Similar to a majority of the comments here, my panel does not remain connected to Verizon cell tower. Requires reset daily if not more often. Frankly, this defeats the purpose of a security system. Called tech support perhaps 30 times and had the system less than a year. I canceled my subscription after receiving a replacement panel with no improvement. They still continue to try to bill me after canceling.

Any rating above 1 star is likely their employees trying to raise their score. Cove- You guys are DANGEROUS and should not be in the security business.

Unreliable Security Company & A Rip Off

From the very beginning, my Cove monitor kept losing its signal and the company made promises they never kept. Customer service is horrible and when I wrote a negative review of their services on their Facebook page, they banned me from their page! Imagine banning a paying customer instead of just trying to resolve the issue. One customer service rep told me that if I did not stop calling them with complaints every time my service went out, he would cancel my account AND not refund me what I had paid for my equipment, as well as force me to finish paying it off! I even filed a complaint with Consumer Affairs to which they lied to CA and told them the matter had been resolved. Do not trust a company that has not updated their unreliable app in over a year, that tells you all you need to know about this rip off company.

Horrible Service

I often have issues getting into the app, it would try it login and just keep spinning. When I eventually get in, the app and physical console are not in sync because it’s telling me that a sensor isn’t working on the app, but the console is saying everything is working. I also have issues activating or deactivating the alarm; it would just spin and spin. I’ve contacted support and they don’t know what they are doing. I wouldn’t recommend Cove to anybody I know.

The cameras are worthless. And hire an app dev…

The cameras almost never detect anyone… I’m starting to think it’s related to this app. Just let me use the Kami app and give a coupon or something for their pro plan. I really believe the issues with cameras is app related, because Kami seems like a fairly good company.

This app is SLOW to load cameras. When the door bell does ring, it takes so long before i get the notification. Some cases, I get nothing at all.

Clearly Cove invests zero money into this app. Please hire a better app dev, or fire your current one because this is absolute trash.

I like their service otherwise. I’m just painfully disappointed in their cameras and app.
