  • Total scam and waste of time

Got a $30 gift card from them (I don’t even know how they got my email address) saying I could use it at local businesses. When I searched for options it couldn’t find anything local in NYC!! Then showed me 2 online options which turned out to be subscriptions... no way. 👎🏼
  • Can’t Login with Email

I logged in to the website using my email. But the app only allows login through google or facebook. Needs to be updated.
  • Deceptive in getting you to join. Gifts they offer are lame!

Got an email from my local Indian food place Tiffin offering me a $30 gift. I thought I was getting a gift from them but I read I was offered a gym membership. Deleted app and won’t be going to Tiffin anymore either. Better Indian food awaits without he hassle of scams and tricks.
  • Not local?

I received an email stating that a local business had referred me for a Nift gift card. Nift supposedly helps grow local businesses through these gift cards. I signed up, chose my categories, and received 2 gift cards. Both were for online subscription companies. Sorry, but this is clearly not “local, small businesses”.
  • No local options?

Got an email, verified this company wasn’t a total scam - followed the prompts, and was offered 3 options that aren’t even based in my state (to the people at Nift who casually sling the word “local” around, online ordering is about as hypocritical as it gets). One was local, but was a business I already frequented so the Nift deal wasn’t even applicable. Overall a disappointment and socially engineered waste of my time. 0 out of 5 and now I probably get the spend the next 2 weeks opting out of affiliate retargets just because I thought it might be nice to sling some extra cash on the local.
  • Not “local” businesses as advertised

I downloaded the app because it advertised a free $30 gift card with a $20 bonus ($50 total). After downloading, I found that the “local” businesses are actually online businesses and not local st all. And the gift cards are only able to be used more as a $$-off deal. Dishonest marketing. Deleting app’.
  • Great new find!!

I really love the Nift app, it has helped me discover really cool independent businesses with great products. Gift cards give me a chance to try something new, and I’ve liked everything I’ve purchased so far!! From beauty masks to natural hair care products to leggings, I love that Nift helps me find things I might not consider on my own. My only complaint is that I’ve received 2 gift card codes that give me errors and don’t work. After reaching out to the specific businesses and to Nift, nobody has responded to help me out. So, worth a try, but beware that it could be hit or miss and you won’t receive any support from Nift!
  • Not worth the effort

Live in a major metro market (two actually) DC and Baltimore and still can’t find anything worth redeeming. No restaurants worth visiting. And app isn’t user friendly. Rather than allowing to search by city or area it requires specific zip codes which is super limiting and requires far too much work from the user vs just being able to search “all Baltimore” or “all metro DC” etc - interesting concept poorly executed. Tossed cards into the trash.
  • Horrible app dont even waste your time

Gifts are horrible and customer service horrible they never reply and give you the same gifts over and over which you cant even use unless you spending money 100+ of your own money
  • Free money

The stores aren’t always amazing but they are usually solid and you get free gift cards to try them out.
