Good deals; non-existent customer service
I’ve used Raise (now GCX) to purchase a couple dozen digital gift cards. The cards are delivered quickly and it’s handy to store them in the app. I wish the balance would update automatically but it has to be done manually as the money is spent. I’ve been mostly pleased except for two issues. In one case the restaurant had closed and I contacted customer service chat and was promised a refund. I reached out again and got the same AI-bot response. I waited a week and still no refund so I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company before the refund was finally issued. In the other case, I contacted chat three times notifying them of a problem with Jos A Bank gift cards showing as available for purchase but upon checkout suddenly no longer being available for purchase. Each time the bot said someone would contact me but that never happened. It’s been about two or three weeks since I first reached out and still no communication and the issue is still not resolved.
UPDATE: GCX still has not solved the problem with Jos A Bank gift cards. I was told to contact them with more info but they have all the info they need from this review. In addition, another issue has come up and that is I’ve had two orders “cancelled due to an issue with the transaction”. I had one other order go through but the other two failed with no satisfactory explanation given. This app just keeps getting worse and worse.Show lessDeveloper Response

Wow, I don’t know where to begin about my experience with this company, but it’s been terrible and hella stressful for me lately and at other times in the past!
Half the time gift cards will process within minutes, but the other half….
everytime I buy a gift card and I am at a location, especially if I am trying to get food and haven’t eaten anything yet, their gift cards will either not process or will be held up indefinitely until I cancel the visit and don’t eat and then shortly after leaving and traveling a distance away from the location it will process and arrive once it is too late. Other times it won’t process at all and will be in an odd perpetual stuck status until I contact support and they release the card or issue a refund.
It’s VERY SKETCHY…almost evil…and it’s like someone is watching my GPS data through the app on the company side and sees that I need the card immediately and holds the processing up! How cruel and disgusting is that?!?! I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP…you have to see it from my perspective to believe it!

I still have a gift card transaction still processing a day later and another one that disappeared and is not in my transactions list as if I never did it although the funds on my debit card are gone!
This has happened AT LEAST half a dozen times just over the past 6 months.

As a form of security, we do advise that some cards may be delivered instantly but to still allow up to 24 hours to receive all orders so that the order is validated.
