I love the features of this device, but I feel that it is rather cheaply made. If the door it is installed on closes too quickly or the wind catches it the unit will fall apart.Sparky445
Biggest battery drain ever!!!
Accounted for over 1/3 of my battery usage each day!!! WAAYYYY too much!
(I use the app for two Aegis smart locks - this review is for the app alone and not the locks.)
After installing and setting up the app as suggested, I noticed I was down from a full charge to 61 percent within three hours without using my phone for more than 10 minutes of that time (iPhone 13 Pro Max with 88% battery capacity). When I checked my Battery usage stats for the previous 24 hours, it showed almost 4 hours of usage from this app, with only 12 minutes of actual screen time - the rest was background usage - and that was 34% of my total battery usage! This is way too much battery drain for the minor convenience of having the door unlock automaticity after returning home.
To reduce the battery drain to acceptable levels I had to disable auto-unlock and background refresh, and force close the app whenever I’m not actively using it to open or close the locks. It is otherwise pretty well designed with a clear and easy to navigate interface. But way to much of a battery hog to get more than one star!Show lessYehgul

The app works well enough
Got the door locks because you couldn’t beat the price, the app has gotten much better since release but still has some issues. No matter how many times I update firmware or the app, it doesn’t properly show battery level. Also I have calibrated the locks per the instructions many many times and yet I will get a notification 30 minutes after the door has been closed and locked saying that the “door has been left ajar.” It’s a minor nuisance that I live with because it’s just a notification, but I wish it was accurate so I would actually know if someone left my door open.Show lessSoloKingWizard
Add additional time delay
On the next BOSMA upgrade there should be a time delay option to lock the door after it is closed similar to the other time delays. This will allow personnel inside the home to schedule a time delay after the door is shut for a period of time (for example enough time to check the mailbox or to get something out of the car, etc) after shutting the door. The door will remain unlocked for a set time period.(ex from 1-10 mins) so you don’t get locked out every time you shut the door without your phone.Show lessmalcolmwise
Love the lock, but has flaws
I love this lock but it is temperamental and doesn’t always lock like it should and haven’t been able to use the auto lock, cause it won’t lock. Software issues and lock bar doesn’t extend like it should into the door frameMsnini100
My camera Pro
Very satisfied with my product don’t understand somethings it does, but I haven’t had the time to call either other than that. Very very happy with my purchase of this brand …let me find out!!!
NOT GREAT CAMERAS!
First of all I want to inform you that these cameras are already out of production! They are not manufacturing them any more so who knows how long they will support them?
I recently installed a MESH ROUTER SYSTEM which gives me 350Mb download and 40Mb upload. I mention this do you are aware that I have adequate speeds all through my home. The problem is that all too often these cameras lose the signal and I get the error message that the camera(s) have lost the signal. Well I changed camera and placed one in the same location and it worked fine. You don’t have to be an Einstein to immediately know that it’s the camera and not my Wi-Fi signal. This occurs all too often on all cameras at various times.
So logically, what’s the next step? Call customer service of course. Wow, reaching someone to answer your questions is like calling the Pentagon. You leave a message and no one ever returns your calls! That is extremely poor and unacceptable customer service.
My honest opinion is forget these antiquated cameras and look elsewhere.Show lessDennism633
Really good gadgets
I like this product. The function and shape of the door lock serve my purpose nicely, because i am living in apartment complex, so changing the entire lock is out of question. I like also because it comes with the gateway, so I don’t need to buy separately. The only thing I regret is I didn’t buy their bundle with keypad. I should’ve bought that which is even more convenient.Show lessisa742
