  • Ugh.

I love Mira… when it works. I often have sample errors or some other type of error. Thankfully customer service is great about compensating with a giftcard. Recently they sent me a box of 10 wands, totally free, because I had like 4 sample errors in a row. This is all great but what I really want is for everything to work properly so I can be confident on my TTC journey.

In addition to that, the app is now trying to get me to buy the Ovum wand and sending me notifications to test with it. Like… y’all can’t even get the fertility MAX wands right with me, why would I buy another type of wand? Not to mention, these wands are expensive! So that’s annoying and definitely doesn’t help the user experience on the app. I wish there was a way to turn off the ovum wand notifications.

    Developer Response

Hi there, thanks for your detailed feedback. We are sorry about your experience and it is not what Mira wants you to have! We completely understand how frustrating it can be. Please trust that it is our goal to help women to go through their fertility journey smoother and easier, so we are here to help and improve your experience. It is recommended to try to continue testing for a period of time. If the same sample error issue will occur frequently in the future, please feel free to contact us via support@miracare.com. We will check it further and make further compensation for you. Regarding the Ovum wands test notification. Since we launched a new version of the APP a few days ago, the test days have been updated automatically. Sorry for any inconvenience. The Mira Fertility Ovum Wands were designed to track levels of urinary FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone). FSH stimulates follicle growth and takes part in triggering ovulation. Testing your FSH levels allows you to know if you’re ready for a healthy pregnancy, predict perimenopause, and understand where fertility status. If you don't want to track your FSH level, please make sure your Mira APP has been updated to the latest version, and then simply follow the steps "Settings-Your Goals-Push the Ovum wands Testing Schedule off". And the FSH test days won't be displayed on the APP after that. For further questions or concerns regarding Mira, feel free to ask. We're here to help.
  • Not TTA Friendly

I would be 5 stars, except the new update removed the TTA setting. Why??? I understand Mira is not FDA approved for that, but it was marketed as being able to help you TTA and that Mira was working towards becoming FDA approved for TTA. This makes me worried that they are no longer planning on supporting TTA women. I also constantly get emails trying to sell me TTC products, which is very annoying when I have made it clear in my settings I am not TTC. It should be easy to only send those emails to women who have marked TTC in the app. I’m becoming more and more concerned it’s just another money making scheme preying on women trying to get pregnant.

  • I love my Mira BUT I wish we had the choice to show which wands we want to use in the calendar view

Sooooo the MAX wands cost more, but but the do everything for the same count. I get that, but idk I feel like it’s more cost effective if I only need to use a fertility plus wand or I only need to use a confirm wand that it’s cheaper to use those. Like before or after the ovulation zone. So I buy them all. Maybe I’m making it more complicated for myself but I’d like the ability to use them if that’s what I want. Now all I see are max wand dots on all the dates. If I want to see the blue or green dots for the other wands, why can’t I? Then I can use one of those and save my max wands for days that are recommending both wands. Are they planning to replace the fertility wand, the plus wand, and the confirm wand with the MAX? I’d just like to know or get and update so I can choose what I want to see. The only choice for this I had was the wands notifications but I still get all 3 popping up.

Hi there! Thanks for your fedback! Each Wand is calibrated differently, so we don’t recommend using two kinds of wands to track the same hormone in one cycle. This will affect Mira’s algorithm and might not give you accurate results. You can still use Mira Fertility Plus (LH, E3G) + Confirm Wands (PdG). But we don’t recommend combining Mira Max Wands with our Plus or Confirm Wands. If you use the confirm and plus wands in cycle A and use MAX wands in cycle B. You can go back to confirm and plus in cycle C. However, the test days shown on the calendar interface cannot be switched to the plus and confirm wand test days currently. Sorry for this inconvenience! But we have forwarded your requirement to the related department. Hoping the test days could be changed back in the future. We appreciate your understanding! For the LH+E3G tests, the second day after the period is the first testing day of one cycle. Then please test every other day until the fertile window and test every day during the fertile window. And the test of one cycle usually ends on the third day after your fertile window. Furthermore, the testing day will also be adjusted according to the actual LH level measured by the analyzer. Normally, you just need to test once on one testing day. But you may need to test twice a day when LH surges sharply. Since each LH surge lasts 24-48 hours, Mira's algorithm will ask you to test again in 6 hours once it sees an elevated value. Generally, you can start PdG testing on the first day of your fertile window (5-6 days after your period ends) to establish your baseline and 5-6 days after the surge to confirm ovulation. Feel free to contact us via email at support@miracare.com if you have any further questions, we will always be there to help.
  • When using Mira wands, app gives inaccurate tips

I used the app with the fertility monitor and wants for several months and found that the fertility monitor gave misreading hormone values (when compared to other OPKs) and also that the app itself gave inaccurate messages in the “Tips” section of your hormone chart. For example, one month the app said that there was a 86% chance that I had ovulated; however, no LH surge had been detected for that cycle, and the predict wands did not confirm ovulation with PGD levels; moreover, the calendar portion of the app continued to move out my predicted ovulation day and recommending that I continue to test Lh despite “Tips” continuing to say there was an 86% chance they I had already ovulated. Other “Tips” messages would tell me that certain hormone levels on a given day were higher or lower on that day than they were “in the same phase of my last cycle”. These messages were also inaccurate when I went back and reviewed actual hormone levels from the same phase in previous cycles.

Hi there! Thanks for sharing, your feedback is highly appreciated. We are sorry about your experience and it is not what Mira wants you to have! We completely understand how frustrating this situation can be. Please trust that it is our goal to help women to go through their fertility journey smoother and easier, so we are always putting our effort into improving our customers' experience! Mira gives the actual hormone concentrations, while OPKs only provide a positive/negative estimation. Every cycle has fluctuations. So when you see your real data, it is usually never a clean and smooth curve, and that is completely fine. The real LH surge will show an obvious pattern compared with the fluctuations at the baseline. OPK's will not give that level of detail, but it may give a false peak or missed peak given everyone and every cycle has different hormone levels. This means Mira and OPK can give different results. The best way to read Mira is by looking at the hormone pattern. Doctors suggest bloodwork or ultrasound as a golden standard to understand ovulation, but not an OPK. We are working on optimizing our tips and the information in the tips will be more personalized in the future. Please feel free to contact us via support@miracare.com, we would like to do whatever works best for you. We always wish you the best of luck in your fertility journey!
  • Brilliant devise

Great devise. Brilliant to see actual numbers for hormones. Conceived the first try. Sadly ended in miscarriage but happy with product. Feels the best at home devise for irregular cycles and pcos.
  • NOT PCOS Friendly

Was sold on Mira based upon my OBGYN recommendation as an alternative to doing bloodwork regularly. I was extremely disappointed when I downloaded the app, as they say they are PCOS/endometriosis friendly. They did not give me the option for “irregular cycle,” when I started to input my information. It operates under an algorithm that thinks women are going to be regular, which made the cycle tracking like every other app out there. Even with all my samples, it still didn’t predict a period.

The information it collects is great, but the algorithm needs to incorporate more analysis.

  • Just ok

It’s just ok. The data is nice to have but prices on wands have gone up/stayed same while quality of product went down. You used to get nice study plastic cups with a tab to hold them and now you have to try to collect your urine in a little paper cone. No bueno

Also, and this is less the app/product but more a personal issue, the company that is primarily about trying to help people conceive sent out an email about how sad it is the roe v wade was overturned. That was very off-putting to me

  • Not worth the time or money

I purchased the starter kit and was severely disappointed with the app. You spend all this time testing long before you know you are going to ovulate (I assume to use more tests = $) and at the end of the day, there is no help with actually getting pregnant. You could do the same thing on free apps- I actually like a couple others better and just using inexpensive strips to test. This kit is so expensive and the app is worthless.

  • TTC

I conceived after 3 months of using this app. It probably would’ve happened sooner if I hadn’t been taking certain medications. The only thing I would critique is about Mira app not having a way to log a pregnancy after using app to conceive. I was notified about this review on my 60th day of inactivity and honestly it’s been much longer since I’ve used the app. (I am nearly 6 months) However, this app did help me accomplish my goal to conceive my very first child after several doctors told me that the chemotherapy I had undergone previously would cause infertility.

  • Great Product!

I love this so much and it actually helped me get pregnant the third month using it.

The app helped me because I could see when I ovulate. I learned when I ovulate I don’t feel the best- I get a little crampy. But this helped me and my partner find the right time to try and it all worked out!

The only thing that is annoying is now that I am pregnant, the app is constantly reminding me to enter my data and says my period will always start tomorrow- even though I logged that I had a positive pregnancy test.

Ultimately it served its purpose so I cannot complain and don’t want to detract stars for that. It would be cool if once you said you were pregnant if it would transfer over to a baby countdown or something to highlight the whole cycle. I’ve downloaded another app for that piece.
