  • Just not good.

A few of the tests come back unable to be read, thus they are junk. When they do work the science is pretty flawed. I took two tests 10 minutes apart and got fairly different results. The personalized supplaments aren’t personalized either. For example I usually get a 7 for vitamin c and it says I have Too Much Vitamin C to get a perfect 10. (Even tho it says too much vitamin c is harmless) then my personalized supplement comes with a dose of vitamin c
Finally they just did a software update and sent an email saying I had to update my password. Fine, totally understandable and normal tech stuff. Since then I’ve updated the password 3 times with no luck. All tech support does is say to uninstall/reinstall.

Not worth the hassle anymore. It’s a good idea but the tech, both the app and the tests, are just not up to par.

  • How did this pass App Store policies?

    1. They require mandatory account creation. Apples guidelines state that a guest view must be included. There is no “sign up with Apple” option available?! How did this get approved?

    2. They gather a ton of personal data on your just so you can use the pee strip you already bought.

    3. In the light of the 23andMe fiasco every consumer should be wary of these health startups and their own data and how it’s being used.

What is Vivoo doing with the data it collects from urine samples? Who are they selling it to?

  • Not much value

The test results don’t really provide much value. Like for example my oxidative stress level was high, so it said I should either get more or less exercise, but no way to know which one. Also I had high vitamin C. Advice was to eat foods high in vitamin C. Ok what?

The magnesium test is confusing. It gives you a score 1-10 but the page explaining it seems to say it’s not 1-10 it’s either 3,6,7 or 10 I think. Where 3 and 7 are bad. I couldn’t figure it out.

So the app will give you your test results, but there’s not much value it provides. It didn’t really give me any actionable advice to improve my health (other than drink more water cuz my hydration was adequate) wth

  • Shady business practice

The product is OK but not super reliable as your testing can change quickly. Their business practices on the other hand are shady in my opinion. 12 months later they renew your subscription with no notice and charge your card again. When I called a few days after I saw it they refused to address it and said it was my fault, even through they can tell on the app I haven’t used a test in over 8 months. They say 12 months later you should remember it is an annual subscription. I personally won’t be dealing with them again. Don’t like “gotcha subscription” tactics. Dishonest company in my opinion.

  • It’s just OK

Well, I suppose it works OK, though I use two different types of urine tests. The other one is like a traditional dip test you would find in a doctors office and says everything is fine except slight leukocytes found. This one shows me as being dehydrated, low mag/cal, high protein, ketones and acidic. Without a third party confirmation, it’s likely I’ll never know which is correct.

The only real issue I have with this is that it absolutely will not allow me to compare past tests despite showing that I can. When I click on “compare” it just greys everything out and same thing with “show history” and I must say this is extraordinarily frustrating and really provides no real insights. I wanted to purchase the personalized vitamins but wanted to wait until I had a good idea of what my body was doing from week to week and apparently I can’t.

So, it would be nice to have this issue fixed!

  • Feedback requests app improvements

I have submitted a number of feedback/requests but nothing getting implemented, as the app/platform needs to collect/sync more data to give a bigger picture to give more accurate advice !

App needs Synchronise and show/correlate HRV, SPo2, body temperature, blood pressure, weight, fat mass, muscle mass, water mass, bone density, visceral fat, sodium/calcium/etc food intake add a ADD NOTES section, for our days notes for future reference. Add an ADD DEVICES option, for eg blood pressure etc wearables like Runmifit app uses

  • Helpful

It’s easy peasy and although not a medical diagnosis it makes me aware of where I am on my journey to a healthier lifestyle.

  • Not ready for prime time

The first red flag should have been how long it took to receive the strips after ordering. I even had to contact someone to prompt them to actually send the order. Even then it arrived much later then the generous delivery time.

The strips and the app testing process itself seems quite simple. The app functions as it should and the method for testing using the strips is easy enough. Submitting the info to the app is also easy and you do get results in seconds.

Another red flag seems to be the fact that even though I’m logged in with a valid account I created every time I take a test it thinks it’s my first test. Despite logging in and out this did not resolve the issue and as a result there is no test history. So you’ll have to log all your results if you want to keep track.

Another big issue I have is that despite filling out detailed information about myself and diet it doesn’t seem to take any of that into account when giving you your report or advice.

Now for the biggest problem. Following the advice to improve your levels resulted in sliding and worse test scores for me. To me this either signals that the advice isn’t accurate or more likely the testing method itself leaves room for error (which was backed up by a doctor and the comparative tests I took there).

All in all this is basically a waste of money as even as an informative (as opposed to definitive) test the results can’t be trusted. If you think otherwise do what I did and set up testing with your doctor to compare results.

  • This company is clear just trying to steal your health data

TL;DR) Don’t give your health data to people you don’t know.

I was given a test kit a few days ago and thought “that’s not a bad idea”. Then I went to use it. You have to make an account just to use the app. If this company doesn’t steal your data, there would be no reason to for that. It may sound conspiratorial, but do you really want tech companies to know your health conditions on a weekly updated basis? And you know they will sell the information to someone.

  • App froze!

I used this for about 2 months on my iPhone and it worked fine. It provided good info. But lately when I choose the test strip I have it just freezes up. I emailed tech support but they haven’t been able to fix the problem. So I have test strips that aren’t usable
