Love this app!
I couldn't think easier way to gt my kids understanding business. I gv them their pocket money directly to the app and they can see their stocks grow up. It has helped them learn a lot already, but hope they add more learning info to the app soon.Amie Schinner
I would recomend to anyone
Set this app up to buy stocks for my kids, added 7 kids and an automatic investment and it works like a charm. I read other reviews about clunky app and unauthorized activity and was nervous but I am over a month into it and have not seen a single issue. My brother started using this app two weeks aho and same thing. He added his four kids and has not had a single issue to speak of. Great app, the custodial account setup feature is the best! It actually works
These guys are great listening to customers and continue to add new things for their customers. Now they have gift links I give to my kids grandparents and they receive money directly from them. Really great.Von Morar
Not so responsive
I’ve been using this app for almost a year now and i see no return or any profits whatsoever i might even lost money since u cant see the account statements clearly, i have been trying to het in touch with costumer service for the last 2 months sent over 10 emails but no response, also gifts sent to the account are nit reflecting to the portfolio they just stay on pending so pretty much is better just to leave ur money under the pillow at least u know where it is…Show lessIgor-NY

The best and the worst thing about 2021 is that we have the world at our fingertips but when things go wrong we can’t get a hold of a real person to talk to. UNest went from a 529 to a UTMA. I was not made aware of this change by UNest. Wishing I could talk to a live person and not email but hey… whatever… it’s just money. It’s not like it’s important or anything. I hope whoever reads this knows what you’re getting into and if you want a 529 or UTMA, GET A FINANCIAL ADVISOR!!! I highly recommend not going through UNEST. It’s garbage!!!!!! I like how easy it was and watch the progress of my Daughters account. I tried the rewards link and purchased a few things and have yet to see the rewards hit the account. I reached out and customer service assured me they have it on their records and will be posting to my account soon. It’s been 90 days now and have yet to see any rewards. I am waiting to purchase anything else until I see that it actually works. They said it should take 30-60 days. Only downside to the app so far.Show lessCreative sparrow

I downloaded UNest to invest $100/month into my sons future. It was pretty straightforward, I got through onboarding in about 4 minutes. I’ve had the account for a few months and everything has worked as promised. So far, I will give it 5 stars.ChicagoMan1893
Poor customer service
I heard about this through my sister who set up this for her daughter. I then did so for my two sons. Unfortunately, the gifting option is not working. I set this up on November 22 and the gifting was supposed to take one to two business days to activate. It is still not working. I sent an email last week with this information to UNest. I have heard nothing. Today, December 6, it is still not active. Not sure what the purpose of this app is if you are looking to have family and friends give towards your child’s education versus purchasing toys or buying items on in app games for the holidays. I have closed accounts for 3 of my children about 2 months ago. And I have yet to receive my deposit back. I have emailed and sent messages from app and nobody has reached back to me about my deposit back. The phone number listed just tells you to contact them via email. Don’t do it
Out of the thousands of apps I’ve downloaded over the years, I’ve maybe left two reviews. This being one of them. Stay clear of this app. I wanted to try it out. Seemed like a decent idea. When I only got to a couple hundred dollars in, I decided that it really wasn’t worth the fee to Invest and was essentially losing money for using the app. So I requested a withdrawal and was just going to stick the money in another account I use. I requested this withdrawal over a month ago. There’s no reason, in this age, that it should be taking this long. None. Everything’s

Hi there, we're sorry to hear about this issue. Rest assured, UNest is a registered Broker Dealer and all investments are SIPC protected up to $500,000. We did have one partner bank in September (one of the new larger online banks), that only allowed customers to withdraw via check for a few weeks, but that issue has since been resolved.
