  • App doesn’t allow you to see full course info before buying

I buy my courses from the website because the app doesn’t allow you to see the full course itinerary before you buy - it just has a big old PURCHASE button. Also, the app shows you previews in Spanish which is not a language I speak. The search function isn’t very good either - if I search with a key word on the website I get far more results than if I search for a course with the app. Apart from that, I like the courses on offer - I am a creative professional so I find many of the courses are pitched at the right level for me.

  • Can’t choose audio track language

The selection and quality of courses is absolutely awesome. The app, however, does not allow you to select the language of the audio track. With that said, I usually end up watching courses that are not in English on the Domestika website.

Please add the ability to choose the language of the audio track. It will make the app infinitely more useful.

  • Great content, meh backing soundtrack

I was a fan of Mattias Adolfsson and when I heard he was doing courses was thrilled. I love hearing him talk.

It’s so informative to watch him draw, but when that backing music track goes to full volume when the camera focuses on his hands drawing, it’s distracting. I’d honestly rather just hear the scratching of his pen on the paper.

If no music was fine for Bob Ross, I think it would be fine here too.

  • Love it! Some little improvements would make it even better...

I really love Domestika as it has opened my eyes to new courses, new artists, and new methods. It’s full of inspiring courses which I think are excellent value for money. However, as an English rather than Spanish speaker, the subtitles really should be reviewed for sense. Luckily many times the visuals help clarify and I can understand a little Spanish but for some I think the issues might be off-putting. Also, I found it hard to bookmark/favourite courses which I was thinking about buying. Eventually I found the my list function but even still its hard to find again when using different devices. I would still wholeheartedly recommend Domestika but would love it if the developers could tweak it to make it even better!

  • Technical problems abound

I’ve bought 11 courses. I would get excited to see them on Facebook ads. I’ve been too busy to even do the courses. I watched the first one more than actually took it. Figured I could get back to it when time permitted. When I finally found some time this week to sit down and start a course, the whole setup seemed different. I guess they’ve changed the app in the weeks I’ve been otherwise occupied. Now none of my courses play right on my iPad Pro. They start and then they go off track and drag. I’m using the latest app version, so that’s not the problem.

I’m gonna want my money back if I can’t figure out how to access what I paid for. I won’t buy any more courses until then, either. What’s gonna happen, if Domestika can’t get it together, is someone will come and do what they’ve done here better. I love the concept, the brightly lit videos and the variety of topics and artists! But not the frustration. I’ve also been bothered by the very poor translations from Spanish to English. So, I’ve tried to avoid the Spanish language courses and opt for the few in English.

Get it together, please, Domestika! I want to LOVE you, not feel regret that I ever saw you go by in my Facebook feed.

  • My Opinion about Domestika

Personally I really like Domestika’s app. The courses are very good and you’ve done a great job but we need more courses. Therefore think about the integration of more languages like French and we don’t only need subtitles to a language but orignal voice of this language too. Thanks guys and keep giving your best.

  • Must have for aspiring artists

I’ve been dabbling in art and drawing for years and still seemed to maintain only an average amount of talent. This has helped my skill immensely and is so much fun. Full of helpful and fun exercises. It is also super awesome they have subtitles because I only speak English! It’s nice to have teachers from other countries, great way to broaden horizons and see artists from around the globe. I’ve got a number of courses I’m enrolled in and can’t wait for more!! Also they have an incredible amount of variety. From vector illustration, to crochet, time management, watercolor, botanical drawing, resin jewelry and just about anything and everything in between.

  • Worth it!

I LOVE the variety, the ability to go back over a section if I am struggling with a technique. I have more confidence and more fun with all of my paintings and drawings.

The only thing I wish is that they would do voiceovers for more of their offerings. I sometimes have watch many times in order to grasp what they are doing, reading subtitles can be awkward in the learning process.

  • Love these classes!

The classes offered through this app have been perfect for extra time and inspiration to learn watercolor during the pandemic. They are an amazing price and you get so much out of each one. I love also that the artists are not American (different perspective) and that I can also practice my Spanish while learning! Subtitles are excellent if you don’t speak any Spanish. All around love!

  • Self portrait classes

I am currently taking all of the self portrait classes simultaneously. I love the classes! The teachers are fantastic! The language is not a problem with subtitles. I’m a big fan of CreativeLive and Domestika is similar but I love learning from people from all over the world and I get that here. I am super excited to have discovered this app and to begin creating.
