  • Great classes. Ok app

I love the courses and the app runs smoothly with only occasional crashes. Unfortunately the scrubber when watching videos at full screen on iPad in landscape format is unusable. It’s positioned so low to the bottom that it interferes with the app switching feature of the iPad. So you basically try to rewind using the scrubber and end up annoying switching to a different app.

  • Video playback issues with home bar

The app seems fine in many ways, but video scrubbing during playback is basically impossible on most IOS devices. When you try to tap the video progress circle to drag it one way or another, it activates the iOS home bar, and exits the app. I have to try dozens of times to get the progress bar selected, and even then it sometimes switches the app instead of scrubbing the video.

  • Phenomenal learning tool but..

Amazing tool but I wish some of the Spanish classes 9being that the classes are primarily Spanish would at least have English voice overs. They look like such awesome classes but I can’t read and pay attention at the same time due to my learning stYle
  • Great content; some issues with app

I love the courses I’ve taken so far, particularly Puno’s. The content is great, but I find myself having to close out and reopen the app if I want to go back to a past video lesson; it just won’t play. This would be a five star app if I didn’t have these technical issues. They might not sound like a big deal, but it’s jarring to be in a “learning” mode, and then having to do the whole “unplug, plug back in” thing to keep going.

  • Poor customer support

I bought a course and have never been able to login to do it.
I tried resetting my password, but it does not accept my new password.
I tried contacting customer support, but never got a response.
I hope someone will see this and help me login so I can actually do the course I paid for.
  • Deceptively marketed

Everything in th app is English until you get to the videos in which all 3 course I have bought were in Spanish. Yes there are subtitles in English and the content is good but game development is hard enough and the foreign language makes it that much harder. None of this is the creators fault they did incredible work. I would’ve given the app 5 stars had they not falsely portrayed themselves as a native English speak app.

  • Stop automatic play of course trailers

There needs to be a setting to stop course trailers automatically playing when you’re browsing courses. Sometimes, the page is still loading but the sound automatically starts with no way to stop it. It’s pretty obnoxious and startling. There are also a few bugs with the in-built video player while playing purchased course videos. Videos that are on full screen will, at times, not go back to the smaller size even after pressing the correct button on the screen. The only way to combat this is to close the app and reopen it. Apart from these two issues, I do enjoy using Domestika. Their courses are well produced and they have a wide gamut of courses that will appeal to everyone. I would love the “My Courses” section to have Ongoing/Completed/Not Started course filters as having one large list can get quite unwieldy when you have a lot of courses.

  • Great classes, meh app

The production and organization of the classes are fabulous, but the app definitely still has some kinks. When trying to drag to a different place in a video, the whole app moves. Sometimes it will back out of the video completely. And i wish the speed and subtitle choices would be applied to all videos. I also hope they add voiceovers on more of the videos. This is a great option. Definitely an amazing tool with a lot of potential.

  • Needs fixing

Every time I leave the app and come back to it I have to close it down and reopen it in order to use it. The only app I have to do this with. Very amateur.
  • Buggy but could be great

So I use the phone app and sometimes the videos don’t play again if I pause them. I have to reboot the whole app on these occasions. I also encountered a glitch when I purchased a course, it’s not showing up even tho they took the money from my bank. I have told support several times I don’t have multiple accounts and that it was purchased via my Apple account. They seem very confused and this is yet to be sorted out. I think this is a shame as it could be a good platform for learning. I guess there’s always udemy.
