Could not connect my mirror to the app and no help!
Been trying for months to connect my mirror to the app so that I can make changes to my mirror settings. Failed every time, reached out to simple human customer service and haven’t heard back. Very disappointed!152Sher

I would have strongly preferred to not have had to contact Simplehuman’s support team as I have been very sick and did not have the time or energy to spare, but in a recent update they actually did address the issues I brought up and fixed the app. I appreciate that they listened to my concerns and this app now includes all of the features that I want.

My mirror was working perfectly with the old app. I opened it today and it has apparently been redesigned and I was directed to use this app instead. This app is missing two important features of the old one. I cannot see the charge level of my mirror now, and I also cannot adjust the settings so that the light turns off automatically for any length of time past 30 seconds. The previous app allowed me to choose 1 minute, 5 minutes, and 10 minutes, on top of the options this new app has. I’ve enjoyed having this mirror but unless those features are added to this app, I will not purchase from this company again.Show lessAalyxei

I have loved my mirror until now
I’m having the same problem as others with this new app. I have tried to link with my mirror for several days. My WiFi is working, my Bluetooth is on but even with putting my phone right next to the mirror it can’t be found by the app. I won’t keep wasting my time so have ordered a new mirror that gets mostly 5 star reviews and is 1/3 the price of my current mirror. I will never buy another product that’s controlled by an ap.
UPDATE to my review of January 12. This is now January 27th. I did as you suggested and downloaded instructions from your website and still was not able to link my mirror. The last instruction said if I still could not link I was to contact your customer service to have them update my profile; all this to simply use a mirror!! I did send an email and have heard nothing back. I regret the money I spent several years ago to buy what was a GREAT mirror until you updated the app. Why did you do that when the old app was working fine?? Now the previously wonderful mirror has to go in the trash. What a waste!Show lessJan in QR

I could no longer link my mirror after the app updated. I had to send in the mirror for a replacement. And I HATE that I can’t see the battery level anymore. The old app was great. Why mess with success?Jdurnci

Why Can’t We Control The Time?!
How can Simple Human charge so much for app based mirrors, yet have such an awful App! And WHY are we so limited in the length of time we are “allowed” to have the mirrors lit? WHO looks in a mirror for 30 seconds?! The last version of the App at least allowed for up to ten minutes. Let the owners control their time. We shouldn’t have to keep waiving our hands in front of finicky sensors, especially at these prices. If we are willing to charge our mirrors more often, so what! In addition … the App constantly crashes! FIX THESE ISSUES or I will not be willing to purchase any more app based products from Simple Human. New app is incomplete and inconvenient
I’ve had my mirror for over three years and I love it, however, I do not love this new app. The old app had a feature that would allow you to keep the mirror on for 10 minutes at a time. It made it super easy to do my makeup seeing as I didn’t have to turn it back on every 30 seconds. It’s extremely frustrating that I now don’t have access to that 10 minute feature.
